I am way too in love with Grey's Anatomy, so I think it's fabulous. A little bit more original, but common enough for it to still be 'classic'. Go for it.

I saw on tv last week that in relish it is pronounced Mare-RED-ith with the emphasis on the second syllable. Which I think is gorgeous.

To be honest though I like it the Anglified way too

Like Meredith but personally I hate Merry which is the most obvious nn. I'm probably in the minority though, as Merry always seems to be well received on MN baby name threads!
