Edmund.

I really like it as it reminds me of one of my favourite characters but dp and his family immediately think of someone else, who I can't stand. I'm hoping it's just them who will associate it in that way though.

A mysterious person... I like it!

Narp · 15/04/2016 19:01

Blackadder, then Narnia

Neither are great associations.

A bit posh, which is fine if you are posh

originalmavis · 15/04/2016 16:43

Turkish delight (Narnia).

voodoolooloo · 15/04/2016 16:41

Edmund Hilary
The Edmund from Narnia.

You have a woman's hand my lord!!

allegretto · 15/04/2016 16:38

Blackadder

kelda · 15/04/2016 16:35

It's just another version of Ed/Eddie.

NorbertDentressangle · 15/04/2016 16:34

Blackadder. Sorry.

MargaretCabbage · 15/04/2016 16:33

Edmund Elephant, Peppa Pig. I have a toddler.

I think it's a lovely name, I have an Edward.

MrsCaecilius · 15/04/2016 16:23

Blackadder.
Then Narnia.

Not sure that the next generation would have those references though.

Burgatroyd · 15/04/2016 14:45

I love it! Also love Rosamund for a girl

Yika · 14/04/2016 22:26

A sort of Brideshead Revisited kind of backdrop. Lovely romantic retro name.

I was a big Narnia reader as a child but it's not what first springs to mind for me.

soundsystem · 14/04/2016 19:53

Narnia

SueTrinder · 14/04/2016 19:53

I thought Narnia first despite having been an enormous Blackadder fan at the time. Great strong name, more interesting than Edward but not as out there as some of the other Kingly Es! I love it.

Vedamakesthebesttoast · 14/04/2016 19:52

The young ones, Eddie

eternalopt · 14/04/2016 19:51

Narnia

ScarletForYa · 14/04/2016 19:51

Blackadder.

228agreenend · 14/04/2016 19:48

Someone I knew at university (in a positive way).

Don't worry about the Blackadder link. A lot of names have unfavourable links if you try hard enough, and the Blackadder link will fade.

If you love it, use it!

iklboo · 14/04/2016 19:42

LA Confidential. But I have just finished reading it. Otherwise, Blackadder.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 14/04/2016 19:30

A lovely little boy at school...

doceodocere · 14/04/2016 19:28

The baby in the bed next to us on the postnatal ward was named this! Parents were academic types, it suited the family.

TheOldestCat · 14/04/2016 19:04

Used to be King Lear and Blackadder but a friend has an Edmund and now I think of him. Great name.

StuckMelia · 14/04/2016 19:03

My uncle. That's his name. Grin

WLmum · 14/04/2016 18:58

I love it! It was on our list if dd had been ds. Shortened to Eddie but much more interesting than Edward. Although I also like Edward to be fair.

DurhamDurham · 14/04/2016 18:55

Blackadder

Sorry
