What do you do if there isnt one boys name you like in the whole wide world....

My baby is no more precious than anybody else's and I have heard some lovely names on here or given by friends to their children, just not for myyyyyy baby boy... (Not that I know i'm having a baby boy)

But I kid you not, there is not one single boys name that I would actually consider... what am I going to do if I have a boy??

Tell me you're fairly uncommon names - when I say uncommon, anything away Top 20. I'm not the posh kind and won't be calling my son Ptolemy or Atticus. I'm also not of the Kayden or Riley taste...

The closest I have come to liking a name is Theo but absolutely not allowed by DH. Also aware that this is rising in popularity so going against my own rule. However, I only know one owho is around 4 years now so not popular in my area

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

We couldn't pick a boys name, luckily we had a girl!

Boys names are so difficult - DS2 is Henley.

NameChange30 · 05/10/2015 21:06

Leo

It's the only boy's name I love (and I can't use it Sad)

OP, why doesn't your DH like Theo? Would he also object to Leo?

Levi is quite cool, although I'd worry people might call him Levi's (as in the jeans)!

RidingSixWhiteHorses · 05/10/2015 21:58

Use John.

MsJuniper · 05/10/2015 23:38

What about Kester? I love it but it was vetoed by DH. Unique but not wacky.

Come back OP!

Strokethefurrywall · 06/10/2015 19:28

You're a Welshie, so how about Vaughn? Tis the name of my imaginary 3rd son. Welsh for Little.

I also love Lachlan and would have been DS2's name except we went even further out there and named him Sullivan instead.

Good luck - I had the same issue with girls' names...

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 07/10/2015 10:22

I know a Welsh Lachlan

Other suggestions

Rhys
Luca
Arthur
Cillian
Cian
Rory
Theodore

Jenkin. It's Welsh, unusual now but very common in Wales a century or two ago and surely due a comeback! Means 'little John" I think.

Binkybix · 08/10/2015 10:19

I'm n exactly the same position! Overdue by a couple of days now and still no boy names. Some are, you know, ok but none I want to use.

Laquila · 08/10/2015 10:29

I desperately want to use Gwilim but am not Welsh - you have it instead, OP!!

holmessweetholmes · 08/10/2015 10:32

Ooh I like Madoc.
