What do you do if there isnt one boys name you like in the whole wide world....

My baby is no more precious than anybody else's and I have heard some lovely names on here or given by friends to their children, just not for myyyyyy baby boy... (Not that I know i'm having a baby boy)

But I kid you not, there is not one single boys name that I would actually consider... what am I going to do if I have a boy??

Tell me you're fairly uncommon names - when I say uncommon, anything away Top 20. I'm not the posh kind and won't be calling my son Ptolemy or Atticus. I'm also not of the Kayden or Riley taste...

The closest I have come to liking a name is Theo but absolutely not allowed by DH. Also aware that this is rising in popularity so going against my own rule. However, I only know one owho is around 4 years now so not popular in my area

Haha, I could give him a girls name I guess!

Girls names I like Lottie, Violet, Lyla, Thea to name a few.

from all of the above, I sometimes think I like Arthur, and always liked Lincoln before I got pregnant. Prefer Lachlan but has no link to me as a welshie and think it seems a bit silly with no Scottish connection.

I really want to like Lawrence but I don't think I do. I knew a very lovely Lawrence at school.

I also want to like Devon, but I think I like it for a girl?

I didnt like anything, except Rex, who was apparently MIL's estranged father and it would've gone down like a shit storm. Thank fuck it's another girl.

We kind of went for a man's name. I didn't like or want to use the names of any boys I knew, but we thought about men we knew and found our name.

Our shortlist was:
Daniel
Nick
Tim
Steven
Simon
Robert
Jonathon

We are very pleased with our choice (DS is now 3).

I think it may be Boy! haha. I like the sense of humour in these posters %$"*&

I like Seth sometimes too. But my dd had a lisp until age 4 and I would just feel dreadful if a ds had one and his name was theth....

OP - you won't like my list now we've cross- posted and you've said the kind of names you liked.

But I was completely in love with a Lawrence at school! Didn't go with our surname though.

Actually, our is often 'Boyo' and DD calls him 'The Boy'. You could go with that.
