As they do not work with our surname or big brother's name, I can't use:

Jude
Fabien

I quite like Daniel but not enough...
Now I'm stuck!
Ideas appreciated.

It's a bit too popular in England atm for me anyway I think. Not sure if I like Ed short for Edwin though. Maybe.

Ned has a horrid meaning in Scotland

ch1134 · 11/02/2015 21:57

I don't mind common names, just not one where there'd be many in class (Tom/ Ben - great names but a bit too popular)

Hugh is one of my favourites but it's got the ooo sound.

rockinrobintweet · 11/02/2015 21:54

is Alexander / Alex too common?

Gregory / Greg

ch1134 · 11/02/2015 21:54

Thanks, some of these have given me something to think about.

Can't have anything ending 'an/en/on' so no Sebastien/ Fabien etc.
Nothing with an ooo sound (Louis/ Jude)
No 'at' either - Matt/ Nat/ Pat

although I love all of the above!

Doug I like, but Kit feels too 'trendy'!

I don't think so. It's classic non trendy name. Shortened to Doug it sounds great too.
Kit for Chistopher is a great name as is Ivo.
