How did you choose your DCs' middle names?

Just curious as mulling over different options - did you pick names of relatives, friends or names you just liked?

DS1's middle name is my brother's name, given to him for a particular reason but it's a name I really like and might've used even without the family connection.

DS2 has DH's middle name, which is also a name I love. I wouldn't have wanted it as a first name because I don't like any of the short forms, but it's perfect as a middle name.

DS3's middle name was one that just felt perfect for him, and was chosen mainly for its meaning.
