As a rule I'm not mad keen on alliterative names, although IMO some work far better than others. However I have fallen in love with the name Helena ("Helen-a" pronunciation) for our DD, due in a few months. We have a couple of other options, and won't decide finally until she's here. But I'd like opinions on whether this sounds OK, or whether we should just discount it on the basis that it's not great with our surname:
Helena Holman.
OK? Bad? I've thought so much about it that I can no longer tell!
