Just that, really. Which do you prefer?

Fleur

TheNightIsDark · 08/01/2014 21:57

Fleur. I love it. Lydia makes me think of a prim and proper child. Fleury and Savannah have a bit of spark.

SanityClause · 08/01/2014 21:58

Fleur.

sparklysilversequins · 08/01/2014 21:58

Fleur.

MamaPingu · 08/01/2014 21:59

Really dislike the other names, sorry!

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 08/01/2014 22:18

fleur - does depend on surname tho

badtime · 08/01/2014 22:26

Lydia.

I really dislike the way Fleur is pronounced in most English accents - it sounds so unlike the French word, and not in a good way.

ElBombero · 08/01/2014 22:27

Love love love Lydia!!!

  1. Lydia is lovely - classic name
  1. Savannah is quite nice, but Susannah is better
  1. Fleur Ok but has bit of an odd sound in English, as someone else said.

Fleur is too twee. Savannah, despite a 'royal' using it, still downmarket. Lydia? 20 years ago I would have said 'Yes, lovely, go for it'. My oldest and youngest know girls called Lydia now with the (albeit affectionate) nickname 'chlamidia'. And it's not something I see dying out.

bakingtins · 09/01/2014 16:11

Lydia

SparklingMuppet · 09/01/2014 18:41

Don't like Lydia, sounds far too close to chlamydia for my liking. Savannah is a bit too trailer park for me. Fleur is in a different league to both, classic and strong. But I too dislike the way most English people pronounce it, so sadly I wouldn't go for that either.
