The obvious - dickish one from Lion, Witch, Wardrobe.
Not keen on Edward?

BigHairyFlowers · 17/08/2012 22:45

Unfortunately makes me think of that episode of Miranda

Katienana · 18/08/2012 09:59

Dh is an edmund. First thing I thought of was blackadder. I love it I think it has a nice soft, musical sound. He has always gone by ed or eddie.
Intrigued by this episode of miranda though!

Fuzzymuzz · 18/08/2012 09:59

Love it Grin

Trills · 18/08/2012 10:03

He wasn't a dick, he grew up and learned a lot and had more in the way of character development than any of the others, who essentially remained the exact same people forever.

Catsmamma · 18/08/2012 10:05

I always hear Edmund as spoken by Lord Percy.

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 18/08/2012 10:07

Mansfield Park.

Trills · 18/08/2012 10:11

Mansfield Park is the rubbishest Jane Austen.
Was Edmund a nice one?

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 18/08/2012 10:30

Yes, Edmund was a nice one. He married Fanny.

MildredIsMyAlterEgo · 18/08/2012 10:33

Catsmamma so do I Grin

Trills · 18/08/2012 10:44

Fanny was so dull though.

strugglingwiththepreteenbit · 18/08/2012 14:55

I know an infant Edmund, so fear it may be getting popular. I also think Blackadder.

strugglingwiththepreteenbit · 18/08/2012 14:57

btw, did Baldrick have a first name? I suddenly want to know.

thewhistler · 18/08/2012 15:04

Know two lovely adult Edmunds. They do have to keep telling people it isn't Edward.

Oops, three. One about 40, one 30, one 19.

LineRunner · 18/08/2012 17:40

Beautiful Smile

Beamur · 18/08/2012 17:41

I like it. Chum of mine has an Edwyn, Ted for short which is of a similar vein.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/08/2012 17:42

Yep , Lord Percy. But Blackadder was very cool!

HiHowAreYou · 18/08/2012 18:02

It makes me think of Mun Verney.

Badgerina · 18/08/2012 18:16

Black adder. Turkish delight. Don't like the "mund" sound.

Badgerina · 18/08/2012 18:16

Edwyn is better.

Makes me think of Blackadder but doubt any peer of any potential DS would tbh.

Baldrick's first name was Sodoff Grin

MrsJamin · 18/08/2012 19:01

I love it, sophisticated but not as posh as Hugo or Ernest, with loads of cool NNs like Ted, Eddie. Do it!

BigHairyFlowers · 18/08/2012 21:44

"No no no, sorry, not Edward, EdMUND! Edward - normal person. EdMUND - weird person. MUND!"

It's from the episode of Miranda where her mum throws one of her literary themed parties that turns into a Tipping The Velvet themed coming out party, as she would rather declare herself a lesbian than be set up with someone named Edmund.

But seeing as I seem to be the only person to whom that came to mind, it's probably safe..! Grin

survivingsummer · 19/08/2012 16:29

I do really like it and it was high up on my list for DS - but just couldn't shift the image of Blackadder from my mind so didn't choose it in the end!
