Hi there

Here are my initial thoughts for names for boys and girls, please let me know what you think! I'm less than 2 months PG so still plenty of time to think about it.

Isaac
Joseph
Innes
Thomas
Marley
Austin
Jesse

Lily
Isis
Lydia
Jessie
Alice
Agnes
Katherine
Madeleine
Maria

For the girls' names (for both actually) I would be really keen for a nature-inspired name (hence Lily, though I know it is very very popular) but can't think of many good ones. I like Rowan, but am looking for a first name that will go with the middle name Elliot. Elliot will be the middle name for either a girl or a boy.

Cheers!

I was wondering if you are Scottish (I am too). How about Alexander or Andrew for a Scottishy name? ALthough you have nice ones already.

Cheers falling, yes I know what you mean re Innes, I like it because I knew a nice Innes and I like the Scottish connection (I'm Scottish) but it does remind me a bit of the Billy Connolly sketch re surnames as posh first names in Scotland.

Isaac - like
Joseph - like
Innes - don't like, makes me think of a rugby-playing lawyer (though that would obviously be a good thing for some!)
Thomas - nice
Marley - Scrooge's business partner
Austin - don't like
Jesse - a lot of teasing potential, although it has a nice sound.

Lily - super popular, for good reason as it is nice.
Isis - not keen
Lydia - love, DP doesn't Sad Someone use it!
Jessie - Nice with Jessica as full name
Alice - very pretty
Agnes - like this, though I know many who don't
Katherine - may become very popular this year
Madeleine - OK
Maria - OK

Thanks all! Yes I should have made clear re Jessie - it would be Jessica on the birth certificate, nickname Jessie. Maria is one of my favourites on the list too - but I have an aunt called Maria and her children haven't had children yet, so wouldn't want to steal it from them.
