If someone leaves a room is it reasonable to expect that they close the door behind them, if the door was previously closed?

Yes, YABU. Get up and close it if you want it shut.

If you desperately want it shut then get up and shut it.

By the time I’ve walked through a doorway there’s no way I’ve remembered whether it was open or closed. I didn’t realise it was something that bothered people.

What I hate is when someone (DH) leaves a door ajar / off the latch. 90% closed. No! Just close it properly! Or leave it fully open.

I do this to annoy the plant manager at work. 😆 Sometimes I'll wait just to hear him shout "close the bloody door!".
