What surgery do you need op? Do you need support afters?

I think you need to accept your relationship is over, so he will not be the one supporting.

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 19/09/2026 20:54

People can be unnecessarily unkind on AIBU. It's not very nice, but I know it's something to be expected.

So sorry to hear you're struggling with the breakup. As PPs have said, it seems that you need to explore therapy perhaps, maybe try to find a way to get doing different things that might take your mind off him.

And no, I don't know the OP's other posts. I've always felt it's best to take things at face value and not judge too much.

MurphysColeslaw · 19/09/2026 20:47

OP I’m not best placed to give advice.
You’re obviously hurting, so maybe some professional help might be what you need?

Reginablitzing · 19/09/2026 14:47

My point is leave her alone? If you don’t like her threads then ignore them. She’s clearly hurting. There’s no need for a pile on.

Absolutely this !

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/09/2026 20:42

He's done you a favour.
He was absolutely horrible to you.
For ages.

You're better off without him.

Maybe have a session with this therapist: https://www.theheartbreakhotel.co.uk/

And go on this retreat: https://bookretreats.com/r/2-day-ho-oponopono-rest-reset-wellness-retreat-peak-district

Will I ever get over the loss of him?

No, never. That will never ever happen.

But to entertain yourself for the rest of your life why not post here weekly? For example, say how devastated you are, how he was β€˜the one’ etc and then refuse to engage with anyone or help yourself? If that’s not enough, you could post twice a week.

What a shitty post .

For the love of God do an Advanced Search to find the other dozen threads she opened all exactly the same.

I don’t think most people would automatically do a search when they initially think of responding to a post .

I’m just wondering, and don’t know if it’s been suggested before, but could ChatGPT help in a situation like this, I feel OP desperately wants support and reassurance and to be heard, and although she might end up a bit dependant on it, it would at least give her some help while she’s needing it so badly, and might be able to give some good advice and signpost to local support to help her move forward? What does anyone else think?

It will get better OP, you’ll find your strength xx

No Chat GPt isn’t great for this

OP, please go to your GP who can refer you to talking therapy. It can help!

and continue posting if you wish

forget the people telling you not to

Definitely use Chat GPT for advice as you’re going to get piled on here for repeatedly posting. It sounds like you’re psychologically stuck.

I do agree but it’s a shame about the pile on.

btw I love your user name. I still remember the last episode. They’re still stranded in that lift in space / another dimension.

For the love of God, Fox, everything you ever revealed about this relationship screams that this bloke was not your best friend; probably didn’t even see you (or any woman, mind) as a complete human being at all. There’s a lot of that about.
Im repeating what I observed recently, and I’m really not trying to hurt you.
But you are determined to cast yourself as the most tragic of tragic lovers in history, ever.
Lost your soul mate, best friend, and probably the greatest lover/nuclear physicist ever. Now you are alone, all alone forever. Sigh.
Come OFF IT.
He wasn’t even a gentleman to you. Treated you like a disposable convenience.

You are not alone even in your own house; they may not be great advisers, but they are human hearts beating nearby. More than many have.

I tell you, if you actually want him back (and I really wouldn't be surprised πŸ™„, as lessons are not your thing), he wouldn't look twice at you drooping all over the gaff like this.
Maybe you can recover from all this by telling yourself it’s for him; get back to your real self, not mourning and wailing.
Pull yourself together that way even if you can’t do it for yourself or your son.
Then maybe your brain will work again, and remind you that he is the very last thing you need.

7 weeks is still in the eye of the storm. Do you have a friend that knows a lot about the relationship? I found writing a list of the pros and cons of the relationship helped a lot - they challenged a lot of what I had written and was just being oblivious too. Also going away for a break with a friend helped enormously too. Hang in there xxx

TheFormerMrsTruelove · 19/09/2026 13:48

You will get better, but it won’t happen overnight. It takes time.

Why does he hate you? Are there feelings caught up with you having done something to hurt him, as well as the end of the relationship?

Apart from this post

Of course it doesn't matter, I just think it's wise to advise people that they're likely to be wasting their time and energy.

Why are you so bothered, anyway? If you want to help her, crack on.

Im bothered because I don’t like the pile on. When I started reading the thread every poster was saying similar. I didn’t like to see it so I commented.

beaglescurleduplikebagels · 19/09/2026 14:50

Reginablitzing · 19/09/2026 14:45

That’ seems unkind if im honest.
I suppose you could post once and mention it’s a repeated poster but really it doesn’t matter does it if she posts the same thing.

You have zero RL friends? I'd find a therapist if I were you. If you feel very desperate, ring the Samaritans

Good advice to call the Samaritans. Theyre c good. I’ve used them before when my marriage ended.

i vaguely recall similar threads. But so what if she posts a lot/ similar threads. Her choice. Your choice is to not respond/ ignore/ hide her threads/ report.

Maybe you could try a love spell to get him back?
