Club Bars - far superior to Penguins arent they?

Found them on sale in Aldi for about £1.25 for 7

Theyve shrunk ofc but are so delicious

Can only find the orange ones ot the 'gold' ones, which i suspect are white chocolate (not a fan)

I had one, then had a penguin orange - penguin was just subpar. Too much biscuit - the bite in a Club before you get to the actual biscuit is immense

Anyway - who am I if not a woman who shares her random thoughts with mumsnet?!

In a straight up duel, Clubs knock Penguins for six, but that doesn't take away the fact the Penguins themselves are nice.
Club Orange or Mint for me.
Viscounts (if you can find them) are wunderbar!
I'm currently going through a phase of freezing caramel Rocky bars, and eating them straight from the freezer 😋

Used to love an orange club but since they’ve changed to a “chocolate flavour coating” I can’t stand them. It’s more oily, less flavoursome and somehow plasticky.

I find these absolutely grotesque. I think they are one of those Marmite things. Love them or hate them. It's impossible to feel indifferent to them.

Yes, I love the thick, angular chocolate of a Club. So satisfying to bite through.

Penguins are weirdly slopey. It's a lot less fun.

Last time I gave blood there was an option for Clubs. I asked for an orange one and the lovely volunteer told me that was a niche choice. I expressed outrage and he then brought me two orange Clubs. Result.

Yes clubs are the biscuit of choice for the NHS blood and transplant service! And seabrooks crisps, mmm mmm!

Team Club here. Currently £1 for orange or mint at Sainsbury's with Nectar card.

We always got a Penguin as our play piece. I was always very jealous of my classmates Club biscuits, Trios or Breakaways.

There is a reason you can only sell Penguins or Clubs in six packs for lunch boxes. Imagine trying to sell a single Penguin from the sweet counter. No-one would ever buy one.

I have a colleague that eats Penguin bars. It is a highlight of the day when we stop work to hear the joke on the wrapper.

Whatever happened to 54321 bars? They were a proper treat in the 80s even if the adverts were flipping annoying

omg yes. That song is now in my head and stuck there. Even adverts were better then.
