WTF, how are 26% of people thinking this is ok?? This is a biohazard - it's not like she was just running a marathon - she was getting shite all over the floor and the equipment!

Similar to Paula Radcliffe, had a poop on the side of the road, in front of cameras. Poor lady!!

Maybe that's why some of the old novelty entrants used to run the marathon whilst playing the trombone all the way - at least it disguises the noise!

Whilst I'm not remotely suggesting that it was anything more than a very unfortunate accident for Joanna, I wouldn't put it past certain people with scat paraphilias getting ideas from this.

YANBU.

I appreciate that it's involuntary probably due to intense exercise but in my opinion it should've been classed as a medical emergency and treated as such. She should have been removed and event halted until the area had been cleaned and disnfected.

Not saying its what happened here but this 'technique' could be used maliciously to disrupt opponents and effect their focus and performance.

Absolutely disgusting, she definitely should have been made to stop. Not the same as a marathon, that’s outdoors and there is no shared equipment. Here people were expected to touch things she’d smeared shit all over and do burpees on the ground where she’d dropped poo on. It’s a biohazard and should never have been allowed

While equally gross, other competitors having to use the equipment that had human shit all over it in this scenario feels worse.

You think it was right that she shat herself, shit went all over the equipment (including the rowing machine that other contenders were using) and she was allowed to continue without cleaning herself up? It wouldn’t have impacted her time as she had an ankle timer.

theres a rule that snotting and spitting everywhere will disqualify people, but shitting everywhere is ok?

I think it was right to let her finish the competition but going forward a rule should be put in place for health and safety.
