You're wrong to think that I consider democracy to be a simple binary whereby you either live in a democracy or you don't. It's a spectrum.

I do live in the Western world. And I love my country very much, actually. I don't know anything else but my Western country.

But, I do resent that I was forced to be born here, amongst people who see my dark hair and brown eyes and blame me for existing amongst them. I would have preferred to be born in the country I'm native to, so I could grow up and be around people that don't constantly remind me that I don't belong, that I'm not one of them, that they hate the guts of me and my people, and anyone who follows my religion, and to be reminded daily what a burden we are - that we are the cause of all the problems in the West, that we don't fit in, and never will. Well, do you think people like me actually want or prefer to be guests in YOUR country instead of comfortable in our own? No, we do not.

But your country, and the one I live in, and which I call home, because I don't know anything else, decided to start wars in my native countries, steal our wealth and hand us "pocket money" out of our own wealth, and drive my family out of their homes, away from their families and friends - to a culture they have never heard of before fate forced them there. They didn't want to leave, but when you lot throw bombs at us and ruin our lives in OUR home, we are forced to choose between dying or coming to your country to make a home THERE. So, my family chose the latter. They have made peace with it to some extent, but I don't think you understand the generational trauma your so-called "democracy" has left on the nations and the people you call "terrorist". After you've bombed them and robbed them. Let's see how you'd react if the shoe was on the other foot, and YOU and YOUR family had to go through what millions of us were and are forced to.

And how is your democracy working out for you, my Love? :) With how much pride you take in it, I assume your country's economy is booming? Your job market is poppin'? People are happy and healthy, and not at all experiencing an increase in mental health problems? Your democracy surely ensures your children - you know, in case their fathers decide to run off and avoid all responsibilities for his own offspring. Surely your democracy protects women from this, right? So they don't sit back with the whole financial and practical burden of raising a family all by themselves. Your democracy also surley helps in terms of equal partnership, right? It's not like women are expected to hand over their paycheack AND do all of the domestic shores while the men...just...pay half the bills (if that), watch porn, drink themselves into an oblivion and smoke weed.

And, of course, your democracy surely supports freedom of speech, right? Your police obviously don't drag grannies away froom peaceful protests for holding a placard that says something they disagree with. You are obviously also allowed to say what you really feel out loud, right? No one will be offended and cause trouble for you.

The UK has a democracy. That's a good starting point away from a brutal theocracy.

Sure, sure. It's much more democratic to put men in women's prisons so they have free access to raping female prisoners. Or to create elaborate pedophile networks on a private island where your princes and prime ministers and presidents can sacrifice babies, traffick children, rape children, rape women, pay the raped women off to shut them up...oh, and let men get away with abandoning their own children so they have to be raised by random men. I merely reminded the OP of the perpetrators of that day. The majority were from Saudi Wahabi Arabia.

She's not just talking about Iranians in her OP.

You talk about 9-11, lambast Iran and others.

Yet you didn't in your opening post, condemn the actual perpetrators of 9-11 - the Saudi's and their abhorrent Wahabi / Sunni pseudo Islam doctrine.

So if you want to commemorate 9-11 you might also start with recognising that it wasn't Iran, but the Saudi's who did it.
