Just got home from being out for the day.
As I entered the dining room I was hit by an awful smell. Immediately started looking around for a mess. Maybe the cat had thrown up etc. Nothing.
So shone a torch under the side table/cabinet. Tiny dead mouse.
Have got it out and thrown it away. It wasn’t badly decomposed or anything, not actually decomposing visibly yet thank goodness.
But the smell was awful. Like a food bin in hot weather. I disinfected the floor and I’m now sat in another room, outside doors open in both rooms, and I can still smell it (or feel like I can….)
Not the first time we’ve had it. (Aren’t cats great 🤣)
Every time this happens though I can’t help but think how awful those houses you see where everything they move there are dead mice/rats etc. Or worse, how awful it must be for people who have to find (and smell) dead bodies.
Just crazy how bad one teeny mouse can smell.
