To say all pro-Palestinians should watch Fauda on Netflix?

Now it is a drama about how the Israeli security services deal with the conflict but it is apparently pretty accurate and is amazingly well produced and acted.

Season 5, which covers Oct 7th has just come out after a long delay.

I've had to take a break after episode 7 because it's so distressing but it still doesn't even come close to what happened that day.

I think it's gives a clearer idea as to the truth of what has been going on and it does try to give a perspective from both sides.

I think every pro-Palestinian should watch it.

We’re not talking about “hating someone” though, are we? We’re talking about hating a race or ethnicity. I’m sure you appreciate the difference.

I’m frankly gobsmacked that several people on this thread have come out to bat in support of someone who say this

And no I don’t respect all races ethnicities and religions.

I’ve never seen anything like it before on MN.

I don’t hate anyone.

Having no respect /= hate

Honestly you pro-Pals and your total making up of stuff, how are you not embarrassed

No wonder such simple minds fall for lies

I don’t respect Afghanistan or Iran. I don’t repacked Islamic countries and cultures that oppress women. Shall I go on?

Afghanistan and Iran are countries, not races or ethnicities.

This is not semantics. I find it hard to believe that you are confused about the difference between races and ethnicities and
cultures and countries

Imagine actually believing a Jew hating terrorist group when they tell you “Jews are the baddies, look they’re killing us all” - especially when they’re fresh of a genocide of Jews, and not the first time they’ve mass murderer and raped Jews either

Imagine believing the very same group who have a history of turning children into soldiers and suicide bombers are the victims...

EnglishLady02 · 16/09/2026 12:40

@FeeFiFoFiddlyFum I don't know if you're aware of this but "children" doesn't just mean "babies". It includes anyone under 18. Including 16-year-old Hamas operatives like this one....

And this isn't from the IDF. His "martyr video" was published by Hamas: something they only do for operatives who died in combat.

But you've already admitted you support Gazans being ruled by a vicious band of thugs who groom and weaponise their children.

Are you denying that tens of thousands (ie 20,000 or more) innocent Palestinians have been killed?

So no denial of this.

FreshJalapenos · 16/09/2026 12:47

@FeeFiFoFiddlyFum what are your thoughts on what I’ve said about how the dog rape story is antisemitic? How do you think it’s made Jewish people feel, in 2026 the evil magic trope is still being used against them.

Me saying I don’t respect all cultures and races isn’t harmful. It won’t result in an attack on any group. I was asked a question and I answer it, and go about my fairly pedestrian life.

However, propping up and avoiding discussing the hatred of Jews DOES have a real-world affect. Look at all the recent attacks - did they come from nowhere? Because they sure as hell aren’t Israel’s Fault. They’re part of a culture that glosses over, minimises and ignores Jewish suffering. If you do any of those you’re part of it

How many German civilians do you think were killed in WW2? Or Afghan civilians after 9-11?

It also takes precedent over people pretending they love everyone on the world.

I don’t. Nobody does.

Who is pretending they love everyone in the world? I’m not.

Not hating certain races and ethnicities is not the same as not hating anyone.

I hate Trump. I don’t hate him because he’s white. I hate him because of his actions. I don’t hate anyone because of their race or ethnicity, or any whole races or ethnicities.

I hope that clarifies this simple distinction which appears to be causing you so much confusion.

I don’t hate race or ethnicities either. You entirely made it up in your brain, for some reason.HTH

What is your source, may I ask? Can you provide a source that isn’t

  1. The UN, who have been found to be alarmingly anti-Israel
  2. A Jew hating terrorist group

Actually, the total number is probably lower. You see "children" and think all under 18s are innocent. Hamas see children and recruit them or use them as human shields.

I can’t be bothered to get into a debate with you about the minor difference being racist towards another race or ethnicity in a “not respect” way or a “hate” way. I don’t think the distinction is important.

In other words, it’s okay to slaughter these children en masse as at least some of them will have been coerced into being child soldiers.

Seems reasonable enough to me.

No. It’s a war crimes problem.

So war crimes don’t happen in other places?
Pp is pointing out that when atrocities happen in other places they don’t seem to attract the same attention as whatever Israel does. Why is that?

Would you like to see the war crimes in other places getting more coverage, or the ones committed by Israel getting less?

I have made it very clear to you that I have no interest in discussing antisemitism with someone who doesn’t respect other races and ethnicities.

As I remember you weren’t even interested in whether I am of one of the races and ethnicities you don’t respect.

You are so unbelievably oblivious to the implications of what you are saying.

No, its not- nice strawman though. Action against Hamas for using child soldiers- which is a war crime in and of itself- would be appropriate.

Also under the rules of war, if a child soldier attacks you you are allowed to return fire. There is no requirement to let them kill your men just because they are under 18.

Perhaps the fair thing would be to have all war crimes receive the same amount of words and attention no?

Problem is people are muuuuuuch more interested in war crimes by Israel than by any other nation. So more words are written, more words are viewed, more emotions are had, more opinions formed.

Why do you think that could be? What do you think this imbalance could lead to? Its a very interesting question. What do you think?

How is it a strawman? Your post very clearly implied under-18s who have been recruited by Hamas (or used as human shields, not even recruited) are fair game as “not innocent”.

I believe most people would read your post that way. If it had some other meaning in your head, that did not come across.

Back to claiming I’ve said things I haven’t.

I respect all races and ethnicities. I do not respect all people. I have named individuals I do not respect. I have clarified this already, there is no confusion. You are pretending there is to attack me.

LimitedAddition · 16/09/2026 13:02

Not coverage- consistency. We've known about Hamas using child soldiers for years. Using child soldiers is a war crime and a massive human rights violation- but various international authorities turned a blind eye.

It literally took Hamas committing crimes against humanity for the UN to say a word against them.

I know you think the sole answer is antisemitism, but there’s very clearly a range of factors that play into why Israeli war crimes get a lot of coverage in the UK.

Good to know you don’t deny their existence though - you’re just annoyed about the level of scrutiny on them.
