To regret the colour of my bedroom

I actually quite like the colour, but absolutely not for a bedroom!

Bedrooms should be pink. You don't want your skin glowing green from the reflection of the walls in the evening when you're getting frisky 🤣 or tbh any other time.

I have this colour in my bedroom too and it’s lovely.

I think cream accessories is the way forward here, not more green! It’s nice although I wouldn’t choose it myself but green and green and green could all be a bit much

We painted a feature wall in our bedroom a deep dark green and the rest a very soft light pink, it has worked really well. In a bedroom, I would say choose colours which are either warm or neutral. Might be a personal choice but I only like cool toned colours in bathrooms and kitchens, from the picture your shade looks like a very fresh but cool toned green..

I like it and think once everything else is in it'll look good. Especially if you have lots of art/mirrors on the walls.

Not sure re curtains but definitely not red!

I'm not keen on the colour, however, if I liked Green and I just paid to have it painted then I just make it work. Like you say your wardrobe is quite big and will cover up a lot of it. Rail shelves or prints....

I definitely wouldn't add more Green though in the curtains or the light.

my friend has just had her sitting room painted Green and although I don't actually like the colour (loved it before she changed it!!) once the furniture is in and some accessories it does look really good. I just don't like it if you see what I mean.

I love green, but those are not particularly nice shades of green. The darker accent wall looks really harsh. I would paint over it with the lighter shade.

I love green but this colour is a lot. Could you paint the darker green wall back to a neutral? The lighter green is bold but with neutral accessories it could be a lovely calm space. Sorry, the dark green is just a touch bright

The problem for me is it doesn’t match the green of outside (or offset it)— as seen prominently through the window.

Lots of us enjoy decorating and are looking at ways of helping OP avoid having to spend more money if it can be avoided. There are hundreds of threads on all manner of subjects, I'm sure you'll find something you deem to be worth discussing.

I enjoy interior decorating as well but what I don’t do is paint an entire room a color I chose and apparently still like and then ask the internet whether or not I should change it. If she wanted opinions on which color to choose, asking before painting it would have made considerably more sense. After the fact, the only opinion that actually matters is hers because none of us sleep in her bedroom.

And FWIW, I think that particular green is ugly as hell. There are some gorgeous deep, muted, sage, olive and blue-toned greens that can look incredibly sophisticated, but that particular shade just screams Minecraft / elementary-school-age boy’s bedroom to me. There are about seventeen thousand nicer, more adult-looking greens I’d choose before that one so there, I’ve contributed to the interior-design discussion.

I really like it. I think once you get your furniture in you’ll start to see your vision come to life. Live with it for a while and see how you feel in a few weeks/months. Hopefully once you put your things in, you’ll love it.

I think it’s lovely, my living room is painted similar. You need to break it up with wall art and pick some other complimentary colors for accessories. A soft pink, oatmeal and ochres would go well. Or even some blues.

It looks a bit sugary green whereas Chatgpt pic is a sagey green - I would pay someone to repaint it - will take them no time as no other work required except slap new paint on walls.

The green is quite punchy so I would soften it with what else you put in the room. Linen curtains (beige more than cream), antique brass hardwear, that kind of thing.

Personally I think if you have any doubts, repaint and hang the cost. You'll always feel you have compromised. I've made several mistakes over the years and always felt better by repainting. That said I currently have a horrendous mauve bedroom waiting to be repainted. It's a lovely colour but the north facing light makes it look so dreary. Light can make or break a room.

Wow, that is a bright green! I do agree with PPs that once you add furniture and soft furnishings / decor it will look a lot better.

Personally, I would embrace the bold and adopt a look like @LibertyLily , the bold green needs some bold colour to balance it. I think you could do something really interesting. Maybe take a look at Pinterest for maximalist decor inspiration?

All that said, if you’re definitely not sure, it might be cheaper to just repaint. You may otherwise find yourself having to source lots of accessories in a style / colour not of your original choice to make it work, which might end up costing more than a simple repaint.

And yes, ignore the attention seeking troll.

Don't Valspar do that "love your colour" guarantee? I often find their mixed colours come out much brighter than they look on the samples. Once I painted our baby DD's room yellow (in the evening) and the next morning in the daylight realised it was hideous (like a rubber glove). Watered it down with white to get the pale yellow I intended!

If you keep it I agree with adding neutrals - cream carpet and dark wood furniture.
Maybe some patterned greeney/brown/cream curtains to break it up too?

I like the green. I have a lot of green accessories, which I complement with pale pink, it looks lovely. As you’ve gone all-in on green walls I don’t think you should do green accessories too. Cream, natural wood, pale pink.
