Yes, home office data shows that men do make up the majority of asylum applicants ( roughly 70 to 75%) which makes sense because younger men often undertake the dangerous journeys first. The wives and children of these men follow legal channels once their husbands/fathers have their asylum claim granted and receive official travel documentation issued by the home office.
It is less likely for single females to “come here illegally” as traveling alone across Africa/middle east and mainland Europe face much higher risks of sexual abuse and human trafficking by smuggling networks.
Calling them “false claims” is just factually wrong. Official home office stats show 60 to 75% of initial asylum claims are approved and that number goes even higher after appeals. The vast majority of people coming here are legally recognised as real refugees fleeing war and persecution.
They then get accomodation, fed and given money and condoms and left to roam around formerly nice towns all day harrassing school girls and women.
As of recent home office figures Section 95 allowance is roughly £49.18 per person per week, or roughly £9.58 per week if in catered accommodation. They are legally prohibited from working whilst waiting for a decision on their claim. Do you expect them to sleep rough and starve?

The Police Foundation and independent researchers (I.e the Migration Observatory at the university of Oxford) note that there is no evidence showing a direct correlation between the presence of asylum accommodation centers and an increase in local crime rates.

A major driver of this cost is the backlog in processing claims, created by previous conservative legislation that legally paused decision making coupled with ongoing administrative and appeals delays, which leaves people dependent on state support for extended periods rather than entering the workforce, paying taxes and positively contributing to society.
The costs exist because domestic UK law (the 1999 Immigration and Asylum Act) and international law leave no alternative. The state is legally obligated to provide basic food and shelter so applicants don't end up destitute on the streets while waiting for a decision.
All other developed nations that signed the 1951 convention also spend billions supporting asylum seekers such as Germany, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia.
