Which burger would you prefer?-Cultural differences?

Option A: Bbq burger on a burger bap with cheese, ketchup, salad, wedges and corn on the cob

Option B: Grilled burger (no bap etc) with plain pasta and salt

We had Dds friend over for lunch after Dd asked her if she wanted to come for burgers and toasted marshmallows. She was quite confused about the burger as has it like option B at home, aside from at McDonald’s.

Which burger do you prefer and can anyone guess which country we’re in?

Yes true 🤣 but it terms of a burger, surely it has to be a burger bap, rather than burger roll? Doesn’t make sense

If I have a BBQ I usually buy the soft rolls which I call "baps" but if writing the shopping list I'd probably write "bread rolls".
If in McDonald's/Burger King I tend to say "bun".
Why ?

@Needmorelego meatballs are slowly stewed in tomatoes sauce with Italian seasoning throughout the recipe. Tomato sauce still features.

Cannot abide bbq. But I like more than a plain patty if forced between your 2 options I would go for B as at least I would eat it (I really dont like BBQ flavour)

Its surely just a preference between plain food v heavily flavoured sauces? And family norms.

One of my kids would have chosen option B up to two years ago.
Personally I wouldn’t eat either.

I don’t believe the preference is cultural.

Option B would be tolerable but the lack of mention of any kind of sauciness frightens me.

So definitely Option A.

See this is different though than when it’s with a burger…
I would say barm cake or chip barm (originally from Greater Manchester)
But I wouldn’t say a burger was on a barm 🤣

I'm British and if someone offered me a burger I'd expect Option A but I'd prefer B. Well ideally I'd opt for a hybrid version and add salad to B and I wouldn't have salt. If I ever go to McDonalds or similar I order the burger plain in a bread roll but with none of the other disgusting stuff in it. If I ruled the world I'd ban ketchup, mayonnaise and all other similar revolting, slimey substances. 🤮

No…we didn’t.
They would normally have a beef burger with salted pasta next to it
