To think that Sadiq Khan needs investigated?

Considering the ongoing disclosures of the extent of the Pakistani rape gangs in London and Khans refusal to even acknowledge them do we think he has bought the office of Lord Mayor into disrepute?

Everyone should be accountable. Rowley’s response is to him being asked to be accountable.

Posting that link is not to say “Rowley won’t go, let’s go after someone else.” What a bizarre notion.

Edited

But you posted the link. To defend yourself against being racist.

A white man in charge of crime in London. You posted it to prove that you're not racist. A white man. And it's on a thread about a brown man being blamed for crime in London when the brown man has no power to charge anyone.
But the white man does.

And you think I'm putting people on pedestals?
Do you even understand what you're saying?

Starconundrum · 22/10/2025 03:51

No.

I think guilty people should be vilified.

Where has khan been proven guilty?

And let's not forget, youre equating rapists and pedophiles with evading a question due to its racist undertones. That's it. He's not even responsible for crime. He can't convict anyone. The police commissioner is responsible for that but you've spent far longer vilifying a brown man than the white man that could actually do anything about it.

Look at yourself.

Without an investigation we don’t know what he has done. As an elected official who is responsible for the oversight of crime in London who is responsible for the police commissioner he needs scrutiny.

Look at yourself. If it transpired that Khan has had knowledge of grooming rape gangs in London and chose not to disclose that, don’t you think that’s in the public interest to know?

Serpentstooth · 22/10/2025 03:53

Elon for Lonfon mayor. Does that tickle your fancy OP? Sounds right up your street.

From what you’ve said on this thread, you think an entire list of white male proven convicted predators, royals, and other white people responsible for crime in London should all be addressed first before anyone even thinks about scrutinising Khan’s knowledge and actions, because of his race. You’ve made him a protected species by putting up a protective barrier of action between anyone who has concerns, and him.

You’ve made him a sacred caste, not to be touched.

No.

Interesting choice of article if you're trying to prove me wrong there buddy.

The white man wont resign but you want to hold the brown one accountable.

Mark Rowley:

has been subject to scrutiny.

Do you think only one man who bears responsibility for crime in London can be scrutinised at a time?

Yes. You’re trying to make certain men exempt from the same scrutiny by creating a sacred caste. Men who can’t be touched. Can’t be examined. Can’t be scrutinised. You have your selection criteria for your sacred caste. Others have a different selection criteria.

No one should be exempt when it comes to scrutiny over safeguarding.

Youre making stuff up again

No I'm not. I'm asking why you're not holding other, more accountable, white men up to the same standards you're demanding of khan.

What rubbish

In recent years we have had three Chancellors of the Exchequer, two Home Secretaries and a Prime Minister who were all, as you might put it, “brown”.

Khan gets attacked, just like the others, for his politics. I don’t recall any of the others playing the race card.

And for the record I am a Londoner and “brown”. Are you ?

I believe the op called it with 'pakistani rape gangs'.

start racist, expect people to call you out on it.

Sir mark Rowley is the police commissioner in London, since 2022.

Anybody been asking him hard-hitting questions on the grooming gangs and what he's doing about it? When he's evaded those questions has anyone felt the need to attack him?

Because you know that mayors can't conduct criminal investigations right?

I mean, you do all know this?

Anyone?

But knock yourself out with your justifications there. Lets make lots of threads blaming brown blokes instead. We all see you. We all know what you are.

And plenty of us see what people are when they make men a sacred caste when it comes to safeguarding.

I'm pretty sure if I did a little graphic and a wee bit of research, that for at least 98% of the time throughout British history that rape was rampant

A white bloke was in charge.

Im not seeing threads about them though, nor have I ever.

No one is blaming Khan. It’s reasonable to ask if the person responsible for the management of crime in London has done enough to take the issue of grooming rape gangs seriously, particularly when he has form for ignoring the issue in favour of political games.

This is my point. That thread is about the perpetrator.

Why do we have a thread blaming a mayor for grooming gangs? Surely it's the grooming gangs to blame. And no one else seems to have a thread blaming them, except this one guy. Why?

Yes, the abusers are to blame. But there have always been investigations into the institutions that facilitated the abuse, whether that be public or private organisations, the police, politicians, the BBC. And there have always been threads on Mumsnet about those investigations and/or the failure of those institutions to act. Too commonly, there are threads on the failure to learn from past investigations, allowing the perpetuation of abuse. “Lessons will be learned.” Like hell they are.

So why do you think the Mayor of the capital of the country, the largest city in the country, responsible for the largest police force in the UK, covering an area that is highly likely to and highly suspicious of containing the same type of grooming rape gangs seen in other cities, should be exempt from scrutiny about what he’s knows, when he knew it, and what’s he’s done about it? Particularly when he’s been deliberately dismissive of the issue in the past. Why is he exempt? Why?

Prince Andrew.
.

I mean, he's not the creme de la creme or anything. No connections. Noone turned a blind eye there. Absolutely no institutional coverup. Bet noone else was involved. And hes famously oh so close to all those lefty causes.

And his punishment speaks volumes.

But let's all blame khan.
