Backlash against Trans women

ITVeveningnewsclip · 18/09/2025 19:24

(Story on ITV news about drag performer who died after taking drug ketamine, not suicide, just a regular user it seems who took more than usual.) Thus post isn't about him.

Anyway, bloke during story moaned that 'we are currently seeing a backlash against trans at the moment, particularly trans women' (men), and 'that's not a world I want to live in'.

I mean seriously, the TRA has been abusive to women for years for even mentioning any concerns, yet now trans women are victims (again). Perpetual victims it seems. These men are frankly ridiculous. I get fed up of the men in dresses and their victimhood.

@Alicealig
Your wilful disregard of the facts around the Sandie Peggie Case, the Darlington Nurses case in the British Isles
or the Lia Thomas case in the USA
or the women raped by 'trans' inmates in US prisons
is astounding.

Your entitlement is obvious.

Non of those examples were a case of any woman being forced to undress in front of men of being forced to call their rapists she.

Not sure where any entitlement would come in. I'm not a believer that men should be in women's sport. However there's no need to make up scenarios that just aren't or have never been considered Issues worthy of considsring to the degree that they are.

Can you give any examples of that actually happening except for saying that it is and hypothetical. No one is ever forced to change in front of anyone.

The sooner people stop whining and complaining on behalf of others the better. This was NEVER an issue 15 years ago, nor does it need to be one now. No laws have been changed so what's all the needless upset and hysteria about?

15 years ago Stonewall had not taken on the campaigning for people with transgender identities. That happened around 2016 I believe. That is when they started tying policy recommendations that were ‘acting ahead of a law change’ were to their diversity awards schemes.

This has been discussed in court in the Allison Bailey trial where it became apparent that Stonewall advice was not the expert advice they told their clients it was. That caused many organisations to start to withdraw their support and drop out of their diversity award schemes.

Because of the actions of Stonewall, there are many organisations who now have policies that do not follow the EA 2010. You will see many organisations are now still holding off making the changes to bring their policies in line with the law. They are waiting for the EHRC final guidance to pass through the parliamentary process. Even knowing that the EHRC has stated that this final guidance is not going to change from their initial press release after the Supreme Court hearing.

If you want examples of where women have been directly harmed here are a few.

NHS Fife is currently in the news because they allowed a male doctor to change in the female changing room. One nurse complained as soon as she found him there and was told that he was allowed to be there because he was a woman. The nurse couldn’t change the toilet as this is unhygienic. There is another case starting where a group of nurses are taking NHS Darlington to trial for allowing a male person access to their changing room.

Recently a woman won a settlement with a Brighton rape crisis centre because she asked for a female only rape crisis group. She had attended what she believed would be a female only group to find a male included. She asked the centre and was told she was now excluded from the centre completely. She had just settled this case. Why did she have to go through this additional trauma for years? She should never have had to.

Here is one group of girls who had to change while a male person walked through their changing room at a swim meet. Considering competitive swimmers take a long time to get their swim costume on, of course there were girls in that room in various stages of undress.

Are the girls being forced to change in front of a male a non issue?

Are the nurses forced to share their changing room with a TIM, a non issue.

Are the rape victims forced to call their male rapist 'she/her' a non issue.

I could go on and on with all theae 'non issues'. Are you genuinely that ignorant to what has been happening?

I don't believe women are disadvantaged in the slightest, I largely see the trans issue as a 'non-issue'. I don't agree that trans identified people should be getting any of this recent attention, people are the sex they are born. Wear what you want and call yourself what you want. That's the beauty of freedom we all enjoy.

Women are disadvantaged in certain ways and trans women (or men who present as feminine even if they don’t call themselves trans women) are disadvantaged in other ways. There is a genuine conflict of rights in some cases. But I don’t think this combative discourse between the two sides, of which this post is a perfect example, is helping resolve anything.

I mean this person is right isn’t he? Lots of people strongly dislike trans women. As evidenced by the fact you’re on here complaining you’re “fed up” of them. That doesn’t mean women don’t also have plenty of problems.

Abuse enabled by women on girls so a male could get his own way. Disgusting

As a previous poster has said Sandie Peggie is the latest example. The trans identifying male even made notes on the times she waited until he was done before entering the changing rooms.

There are many other examples. https://reduxx.info/civil-rights-complaint-filed-after-illinois-school-reportedly-forced-girls-to-change-in-front-of-trans-identified-male-student/

What the actual Fucking Fuck?! What the hell is wrong with these people? (I'm talking about Assistant Principal Cathy Van Treese, Assistant Superintendent Joanna Ford and Director for Student Services Ginger Logemann rather than the male student.)

"accusations of bigotry". Of course. The stupidity here is off the scale.

WandaWomblesaurusWonka · 21/09/2025 11:02

ITVeveningnewsclip · 20/09/2025 19:44

Wow.

That's disgusting. The school basically allowed and enabled a pervert to watch girls undress and forced them to undress in front of a male. What were the school thinking. Why do people bend over backwards and allow girls and women to be perved at by TIMs?

"Only a few days later, “the situation went from bad to worse,” as according to Georgas, the male student was then present in the girls’ locker rooms for their Physical Education (PE) class. The girls, unwilling to have their privacy violated even further, collectively refused to undress in front of him. The following day, Assistant Principal Cathy Van Treese hauled the girls into her office and questioned them, before escorting them to their locker room and forcing them to change into their uniforms with the boy present. Van Treese was accompanied by Assistant Superintendent Joanna Ford and Director for Student Services Ginger Logemann. The monitoring to ensure compliance allegedly happened “all week,” Georgas explained to the district."

What has gone too far is that major news outlets are constantly describing male rapists and sex offenders as women just because these men say they are. What’s gone too far is that statistics for sexual crimes is being skewed to pretend that more women are enacting these crimes than they are. What’s gone too far is that women who are affected by this have been told to refer to their rapists as “She”.
What’s gone too far is men in women’s prisons raping inmates.

And doubling down on the lies. Of course we question what they print, when we know they have a habit of lying to us.

Yes and it is so unhealthy here that members see a picture of a female sex abuser and imagine that they are really a man. I think it is all going way too far at this point. Mumsnet had to remove the thread so as not to start rumours that could jeopardise the trial!

Also I don’t believe that trans people make up as much as 0.5% of the population. That would mean there’d be about 300 in the smallish town where I live. Nah, I’m not buying it.

Also there’s nothing that trans people can’t do that anyone else can’t do… they can be housed, marry, have children, adopt, be employed, wear whatever they like, receive education, healthcare and benefits, be in relationships with whoever they want, just the same as well, everyone else.

What they can’t do is impose on opposite-sex-only spaces/provision/services, control other people’s thoughts/beliefs/knowledge of facts/language, or engage in objectively morally-questionable and criminal acts (grooming, sexual assault, voyeurism, exposure, verbal abuse, raising vexatious complaints etc. etc.).

I know that society has grey areas and nuance to it but I just can’t see where the problem is, other than that a very small number of men (mainly) get very upset that a lot of people say no to their (often sexualised) wants and desires.

Muffinmam · 21/09/2025 05:52

These men are mental ill. People have had enough of their BS.

I'm fed up of the whinging from them. I don't dislike them as individuals. They come over as tone deaf to the struggles of real women.

Okaay. The trans population of the UK is 0.5% of the whole population. How much actual whinging are you on about? I feel it's more the transgender haters in the last 15 years or so have been the ones do the majority of moaning.

Particularly on Mumsnet - the whinge in never bloody ending.

So 0.5% of the population.

How many Trans people does it take to have a massive knock on affect on women's services?

Ans 1

And they can affect hundreds on women.

Why shouldn't women be allowed to be loud about this?

Vast majority of trans women do not want to disadvantage women. You live in fear because of a tiny majority that is being blown our of proportion (on places like Mumsnet too). How many trans women do you actually know and how many of them tried to harm you in any way? I guess the number is zero, but you still feel the need to rant and be 'fed up with them'. Get out from your cave, go and talk to trans people, they dont bite.

So are the reasonable trans people criticising the loud unreasonable trans people? Where?

Complete madness

"One speaker Charlie Friedman, who serves as a director for the Trans Upfront organization, accused Georgas of “bullying” trans-identified children just for being concerned about her daughter. Another argued it was a “deliberate misrepresentation” to claim that girls were forced to change in front of a boy, because “who they’re talking about is a girl, a transgender girl,” comparing their concerns to racism, while a third suggested the school would have to perform “genital checks” on students, because “a lot of transgender people pass.”

The final speaker, Tina Nelson, who wore a shirt reading “Protect Trans Kids” alongside a knife, directly confronted Georgas, staring her down and accusing her of using a “white supremacist religion to push the agenda of their cis white husbands… targeting a middle school student because of your white God.”"
