to ask for a Hitachi Magic Wand as birthday present from my partner?

I've heard the most wonderful things about the Hitachi Magic Wand and I'd love to have one but should I buy it myself or suggest it to my partner as a birthday present?

I wouldn't want to make him him feel he isn't 'enough' by making the request, because he's very good in bed actually.

Would I be being unreasonable?

Your good he will buy you one. You will explode with intense orgasms...have him fuck you doggy and you hold vibrate on love button

..

As far as I know, they've removed the Hitachi name from the wand and it's now called the 'Original' Magic Wand.

Hitachi don't make them anymore, unless they have got over their embarrassment. They discontinued it after it was featured on SATC and sales sky-rocketed!

New morning Smile

"Dad said id got hair caught in the end."

That's always a problem with hairdryers and I'm sure it was a big problem with mains-powered vibrators too in the 1970s.

Nowadays, there is much less chance of singeing your whiskers but you make a good point. Hair or bare, some risk is always there. Smile

"It could get an orgasm out of a stone, I swear"

Many women have done that, including Marianne Faithful.

Newmorning....i had a hairdryer once that had flames come out of the end whilst i was using it. Put me off hairdrying for ages. Dad said id got hair caught in the end. Needless to say if you seen how far these flames went.....you might rethink......

newmorning · 02/02/2014 11:11

"you need to plug it in "

I'm sure Eve said that to Adam.

We have one. I bloody love it.

It could get an orgasm out of a stone, I swear

mrsjay · 02/02/2014 11:07

you need to plug it in

newmorning · 02/02/2014 11:06

I'm not really worried about it being plugged into the wall socket as long as the cord is sufficiently long to allow me to recline in comfort while I'm buzzing myself into blissful oblivion.

After all, we use lots of hand-held electrical appliances every day and I've not yet managed to electrocute myself.

Having said that, if I am going to electrocute myself, I'd prefer that the 240 volt current didn't run up anything that was, er... shall we say, 'super conductive' at the time - but that's the risk you take I suppose when you're seeking the finest private pleasures. Wink

I thought because it was Hatachi I thought this was something very different like a telly remote Blush, one of my dds had a Doctor who one

londonrach · 02/02/2014 10:32

Mn is such an education. I clicked as thought it was a new duster....seems it is but not for the area i thought! Just out of interest ....(call it educational curiosity) surely it would be painful, and dangerous being plugged in. I mean you not a lamp or tv?

newmorning · 02/02/2014 10:16

A friend has one and she let me try it (through my jeans) and it certainly does give you a hell of a buzz.

I shudder to think think what it feels like on your actual girly bits but I'd love to find out.

More research needed.

newmorning That's brilliant! Grin

newmorning · 31/01/2014 08:45

The funniest thing would be if someone now posted "Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit" a la Chas and Dave.

Here's a wand to prove that I'm no joker!
There's three ways that love can grow (tickle, grind, smack!)
There not bad or mediocre!
Oh my sanded vag, I love you so-oh-oh!

newmorning · 30/01/2014 22:37

"Damnit, Janet!"

It's intenser than Betty Munroe had (Oh Brad!)
I'm sanded quite flat and I'm so glad (Oh Brad!)
Designer vaginas are no fad (Oh Brad!)
I've one thing to say and that's
Brad I'm mad for you too!

I clicked on here because I had no idea what a Hitachi Magic Wand was! I have now had to explain to DP what I am literally lol-ing about.

MN it's such an education & laugh!

FracturedViewOfLife · 30/01/2014 22:32

Don't discount the Bodywand also from Lovehoney. Lovehoney accept returns for up to a year, even if things have been used. Returns policy

WilsonFrickett · 30/01/2014 22:28

Well I was sitting here thinking 'that's either a toy magic wand, some kind of newly invented musical instrument or a food processor, I'll click and have a look.'

It's a fanny sander. Who knew?

Dawndonnaagain · 30/01/2014 22:25

I'm looking for a new toaster, that's why I clicked on this. I'm disappointed. Damnit, Janet!

newmorning · 30/01/2014 22:24

The LoveHoney version and the Acuvibe both look good.

Decisions. Decisions.

I doubt a supplier of either will let me loose on a test drive. Confused

The bloody thing is just too intense :( And plug hums if left plugged in so not exactly stand-by ready. And yes, noise level is ridiculous... You (l) feel like a bad parent just turning it on with children (DD) in the house! Definitely not sexy making afaiac but I am at a loss as to how to get rid. Freecycle perhaps? Hmm

nickymanchester · 30/01/2014 22:07

It's not rated for use in the EU tho is it?

Have a look for the Lovehoney version. Which has a CE mark and comes with a UK plug

www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20464

They also have some videos there as well - not using them on some one I hasten to add
