(6 Posts)Not a household name in the UK, but it came up on my FB feed. A regional production of her play Joan of Arc the Second, has been cancelled - without contacting the playwright, and also depriving a woman of colour from playing a major role. It's a one-woman show.
For alleged transphobia. But the announcement gives no details. The writer of this article has done a bit of digging and thinking.

The whole thing is outrageous. It seems that talking about women's bodies and lesbianism - which does not include men - is now by definition 'transphobic.'

The fact that they refuse to even say what it was they had seen that made them make this decision is just incredible.
There's another thread on FWR which gives the probable reason she was cancelled.
