Accused of being 'anti-trans' and producing materials that deny the existence of trans people!

1984in2019 · 04/07/2019 21:50

Stonewall are finished

What with this and the report yesterday about how they cherry picked responses from women’s refuges to support their mantra. Rotten at the core.

FormerMediocreMale · 04/07/2019 21:51

Sadly not surprised.

Aspley · 04/07/2019 21:53

No doubt homosexual females are banned too.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 04/07/2019 22:04

Wonder if any men could pop along and identify as lesbian, but lesbians who only like female penis.

ChattyLion · 04/07/2019 22:05

Not sinister at all to ban any group from simply asking questions and listening at a public event for teachers is it?! Why would you actually BAN a certain organisation from attending?! How absolutely authoritarian.

Well i wonder if TransgenderTrend, could team up with some teachers, medics, academics and others find a cheap big venue and hold their own teachers’ conference?

Have a day where anyone can come and hear facts, teachers can come to share their concerns and experiences from the classroom, and the conference can hear from evidence- based practitioners in medicine, psychological, education, child safeguarding, some detransitioned young adults could be invited to talk about their experience, some parents to talk about their children’s experiences, some schools who are handling these issues well and any local CCGs who are providing good professional support to young people feeling distress and dysphoria could be invited to talk about how they do that. It could be an amazing meeting.

Unfortunately it's quite the opposite, they will be around for years.

1984in2019 do you have a link to that report? I'd be really interested to see it...

I will be very disappointed if Amanda Spielman delivers her keynote with no reference to this. The new Ofsted framework requires Schools to tackle homo/bi and transphobic bullying, and rightly so. But if the definition of transphobic includes questioning the gender spectrum, born in the wrong body beliefs of some advocates, or the kind of scientific precision that got young Murray thrown out of class, then we are in very worrying waters.

sackrifice · 04/07/2019 22:56

They are petrified as they know Posie will be there.

Popchyk · 04/07/2019 23:01

Acceptance without exception*.

*Apart from someone who might ask a question.

OvaHere · 04/07/2019 23:03

If they are so convinced they are right about everything why not let the TT delegates ask their questions?

This way just looks like they have something to hide.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/07/2019 11:57

Of course they do. I’m sure someone will be taping the proceedings.

FormerMediocreMale · 05/07/2019 12:04

I hope someone's taping Fekko.

FormerMediocreMale · 05/07/2019 12:06

And I hope copies of any recordings make it to The Times, Spectator... and other msm. It is definitely in the public interest to know what is being said and proposed for schools. Parents have a right to know.

CharlieParley · 05/07/2019 12:17

We are in dangerous waters.

Had a chat with a bright, lovely lad of 15 yesterday who told me that he was almost suspended for a week for accidentally misgendering a gender-fluid girl on her boy day. I didn't have the chance to ask him about the details, but he did tell me that he feels also very uncomfortable sharing the toilets with this girl (the boys were not told this gender fluid girl was now going to be using their facilities on her boy days).

He must think that the supposedly responsible adults at his school have gone completely and utterly mad. And again, this is a kid who doesn't care how other pupils want to express themselves - he just wants to not be involved in that and to have his own rights respected (I am paraphrasing, he did not express himself in these terms. He was pretty upset about it all though).

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 05/07/2019 12:20

Fekko your pic goes nicely with this one....

That poor lad, it would be so easy to slip up, I know I would without meaning to.

BatShite · 05/07/2019 12:32

If they really thought their way was the best for children and such, they would not be so terrified of people asking questions, as they would have answers.

Needmoresleep · 05/07/2019 12:56

Amanda Spielman should be interesting. Her priority presumably will be to retain communitication with and cooperation from more conservative communities, where 'tolerance' may mean actually allowing girls to study with boys.

The Stonewall and friends initiatives aimed at queering the classroom will not be helping. Giving, as they do, reasons for the more intransigent to claim to lead their communities. There will be plenty within those communities who will want their children to have a more tolerant and inclusive education. But it needs to be one step at a time.

Looking at Stonewall's approach it is almost as if they have forgotten their original aims, or are determined to provoke a backlash. Or that they dont care about other vulnerable or disadvantaged groups: asian girls; lesbians etc, and simply want to pursue a queer agenda ahead of everything else.

Charley is this in the UK?

I agree, this has ramisfications way beyond the risks to safety, privacy & dignity single sex spaces are intended to provide children.
