The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) monitors human rights, protecting equality across 9 grounds - age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, sexual orientation and gender reassignment.

Oh I missed that! Thanks, will have a read. It does say it was publish in 2016 so I probably should have checked to see whether there was a thread.

How is it still allowed to stand though? When it's demonstrably untrue? (maybe the other thread will shed light!)

It does say at the top (and I missed it to begin with) that the EHRC has its own web site. But does show how widespread by 2016 the misuse of the word gender had become.

The EHRC does have the correct list of protected characteristics (I think!)
