You went looking to get banned and achieved your aim. Congratulations.

You got blocked from twitter for 12 hours, for calling man a man? I don't see anything worth blocking over in your tweets?

Thanks Chrissy
And yes, in a way I wanted to test the system.
In case of fault.
But no it was true.
You actually cannot tell the truth about men who want to be women on Twitter.
It needs to be recorded for historic reasons.

Fuck twitter. Does anyone else remember an account called @ mermans_gender? It was a parody account of Mermaids charity account and was honestly shit-your-pants funny. So, of course, twitter took it down. We know how much some people stamp out criticism on twitter as @therealposieparker is all too aware

I bet many of the Twitter mods are male or TIMs or hand maidens - and Twitter is based in California - the heartland of the transgender agenda- where by law they are a protected minority - so I bet most of Twitters' moderating guidance is based on that - the playing field is rigged

I do wonder why more women are not working at Twitter and making decisions or maybe inventing our own twitter. Sometimes it feels like we need to start our own things, because the ones being run by men are so corrupt.

I think generations to come will look back on this time as a time when women were silenced simply for telling the truth.

It is shocking that speaking the truth has now become ‘hate’.

Twitter is not safe for women, it is full of rape and violence threats. Can't we organise a boycott? I deleted my account because I don't feel safe with these mods having access to any personal info. Twitteratis do not represent real life in any way and the whole thing is a big echo chamber now. We need safe, decent social media, by women for women and kids.

I agree. I thought we had somewhere safe in Mumsnet for a while, and it’s obviously not comparable to Twitter, but they also censor women for speaking the truth.

And what's stopping you setting it up?

I have also had a suspension today for the exact same offence. Simply stating that someone who IS a man, is a man, is treated by Twitter as the equivalent of promoting violence, threatening and harassment.

Just to put it into context, crap like this is allowed to stand on Twitter (even though 'some women have penises' is modern day gaslighting), and with the threat that if we don't like, we can 'suck DM's dick'. An actual threat, allowed to stand. And I have seen a lot worse threats (leveled at women of course) that are allowed to stand.

Misogyny is allowed to stand, always. Even the SFPL could see no problem with 'that' t-shirt.

And what's stopping you setting it up?

I wouldn’t have the first clue how to either.

But I sure as heck would join up and even pay a monthly subscription if it meant being able to post and read stuff about women’s issues, away from all this madness.

I don't have any idea how to set up safe & decent social media for us either but would gladly subscribe to one. Keeping advertisers out would enable independence.

And what's stopping you setting it up?

What servers would it run on? These things cost money. If it was supported by advertising, most likely TRAs would target the advertisers while the site was in its infancy.

We shouldn't boycott or leave twitter. We need to keep going.

Women are already gathering in other places. I think Twitter will come to regret this.

Transactivists will never ever stop chasing us so we might as well not run.

Pratchet · 27/05/2018 09:51

They are but this is a crucial moment in the advance of men's rights and the regression or destruction of women's rights. I don't think we should leave our places at the front line so long as we aren't banned.

I imagine the twitter support staff all have blue hair and interesting pronouns. So what happened with the mn worker who divulged personal info - is anything being done?

Report
NotMeOhNo · 27/05/2018 09:56

The only use twitter has is that politicians and journalists seem to be addicted to it. So it's important to maintain a strong gender critical voice. I suppose when they pick individuals off more will rise to the challenge.

NotMeOhNo · 27/05/2018 09:57

I always imagined twitter secretly outsourced this sort of thing to underpaid and overqualified workers in the subcontinent.
