What's everyone having/what did you have? Would love to see photos. Wedding in 9 days and still very undecided!

I like the bronze colour but with the light gold I think it's a bit Christmasy for some reason. That shape might be in ( or not, I am not a nails person) but it looks quite sharp and aggressive for a wedding.
I'd have snagged my dress within 5 minutes on those.

Bubblysqueak · 13/08/2018 17:15

I had red nails, with a gold sparkly ring finger nail (so DH knew which finger to put my ring on!) The colours matched our colour theme.

BearCubX · 13/08/2018 17:17

I'm not sure if I love or hate the tacktastic bronze ones 😂

paap1975 · 14/08/2018 12:30

I had a slighty pink French manicure with a tiny bit of sparkle in it. My ring finger and the same finger on the other hand had a petal/leaf design in white. I'll see if I can find a photo

Pink sparly bit was like this

Racecardriver · 14/08/2018 12:36

I can't remember whether I had natural nails or clear coat/light pink. Every day nails basically. Anything more looks naff with formal clothes. You can only get away with colourful nails as a bride if you are going for a nontraditional, casual look. Ideally in a colour to compliment your brightly coloured suede shoes. What are you wearing for your wedding OP?

DressDrama · 14/08/2018 12:51

I had gel silk wraps (I think this is what they're called!) basically they built them up with gel which solidified; and had an ombre French mani look. Pic attached, they're still going strong 15 days on!

Think anything other than natural or neutral looks tacky

SilverHairedCat · 19/08/2018 22:26

Classic 90s square tipped /rounded off French manicure. I got married last August. 😂

Those bronze ones are erm, not to my taste for any event at any time. The colour makes them look unclean. Sorry.

Shoxfordian · 21/08/2018 14:23

Here's my new nails Grin
As you can see, I like shiny

Checking in for inspiration. Know I need to do something about my nails for my wedding this year but I’ve never had a manicure so totally clueless.

Poppies26 · 21/08/2018 14:31

These were mine. I have my nails done constantly and these are my most commented ones. They were gorgeous

I’m getting married in October & am currently trialling my wedding gel polish - it’s Cuccio Nude A Tude & is a lovely nude beige pink with a very, very subtle shimmer. Am super pale so if I go for anything too white I can look ghostly Blush

w4ytoomuch · 22/08/2018 22:06

Essie ballet slippers on shortish squareish nails.

Cannot go wrong with this.

Short and square with Fedora which is my staple black red.

Everything else I had on was so different to everyday me, I felt something had to be normal me!

Very much love Cheshire's though!

RuleBreaker · 28/08/2018 18:10

@cheshireagain What do you mean, long nail beds take work? My nail beds are practically circular, it's so annoying. Can they be changed?!

cheshireagain · 28/08/2018 20:47

@RuleBreaker some people are blessed with lovely deep nail beds.

If you're not, you can certainly improve them.

Apply cuticle oil before bed and gently push cuticles back with a cuticle "pusher".

You can use a cuticle remover cream and cuticle scissors and cut away dead skin every fortnight.

A good manicurist using traditional (more time consuming) methods will do this for you.

So many horrible salons now just blitz them off with an electronic file xx

DollyWilde · 28/08/2018 20:49

Mine, the day after (a month ago today!) Grin
