Is it some kind of Airedale? That room is my dream sitting room! House envy!

Wolfhound or deerhound. Wrong colour for an Airedale.

Its on an ad for clear view stoves - not my living room sadly Envy

Ungroomed Airedale? Hard to tell without a good photo of the face.

You'd expect at least some dark colouring on an Airedale. Deerhound is my guess.

The face shape does look like an airedale but agree that colour would be unusual. Maybe it is a crossbreed.

Bit small for a wolfhound/deerhound?

It’s not a wolfhound or a deerhound, not unless that chair is actually a 3 seater...

Beautiful dog whatever it is!

Maybe an extremely scruffy doodle cross?

That log pile is ridiculous, haven for many very large spiders/wood lice etc.

I would guess at an Irish Terrier crossed with a bigger terrier (maybe Airedale) - not just the colour but the head shape.

Tell us if you find out LOL.

it's an Instahound, specially bread for social media and advertising, mostly found in lifestyle vlogs closely related to the smugpug

Looks like a giant version of my Lakeland terrier 😂

Stove ad - so a hot dog obviously!!

It’s an airwolfpoo.

Obvs. No one with a house like that would have a simple pedigree dog, it’s got to be a designer dog with a portmanteau name.

Likely bought from a byb, which in retelling the story turned into them “rescuing” the puppy by paying the breeder 2k, as they couldn’t leave it there, could they?

Some kind of large terrier mix? It’s got Irish terrier colouring but is more Airedale in coat.

Maelstrop · 26/01/2019 12:32

Irish terrier looks like a miniature Airedale, tho, so wrong colouring.

Definitely has the look of the Irish but (unless they've photoshopped it) it's far too big.

(No @Maelstrop, the Irish is just a pale red. You might be thinking of Lakeland?)

Hi. Not an airedale which must be black and tan. I think it is a soft coated Irish wheaten terrier or a mixed breed with Irish terrier. But the curly coat suggests a wheaten. The dog looks happy and healthy but could do with a visit to the groomer. Wheaten terriers do not cast and need regular clipping/ stripping. They make wonderful family pets.

Yes. The colouring is perfect for a Lakeland terrier but this dog looks too big for that. Not the best image.
