How would you describe a mint velvet customer?

How would you describe her?

Early middle aged suburban mum who likes to think she’s. A bit edgy and rock but not cool enough to go the whole look

I don’t wear Mint Velvet but have a few friends who love it. They’re late 40s, like to dress well and don’t want to spear frumpy.

Spot on ken but I think in a good way!

My bestie is a Mint Velvet woman. Early 50s, great job, thinks she's a bit edgier than she actually is, spends a lot on clothes and herself generally.

I like their stuff & some of my favourite casual tops are from MV. The cut tends to be flattering, I like their batwing sleeved tops which go in at the bottom.

I am mid 40s, short, chunky, neither trendy or frumpy, have quite a lot of clothes & a good disposable income.

Why?

Poor Frumpy. Getting speared by all these 40 something, suburban rock chicks.

Not me. Too much polyester for the price.

Early 50s and late 40, scared of Colour, a fan of greys in various tones. Wannabe rock chick in size 10 or smaller and very tall in size.

Have you seen Tamsin Greig's character in Friday Night Dinner?

Report
weebarra · 14/02/2018 14:58

Richer, taller and slimmer than me.

Is this some kind of freebie focus group, OP? Hmm

Totally genuine post - I have a few jackets from there but haven't ventured further, I just wonder who it's aimed at. When I go in my local store it's always pretty dead so I never get a feel for the type of customer and it's not one I instantly like to think I know like a typical Boden customer iyswim

Ha ha Ken your description is spot on and made me smile. I have a few bits from MV and recognise a bit of myself in that description!

I’m early 30’s and have a handful of MV jumpers.im at that age where a lot of my usual shops i.e topshop, miss selfridge feel a little young for me now. I would say a MV customer would be 35-55 age range

I find it a bit Matalan in design.

From what I see, Mint Velvet seems a lot like Hush. So probably for women in their 30's/40's trying to get their mojo back

I bought my DD (17) a mint velvet leather biker and she lives in it.

Report
SporkInTheToaster · 14/02/2018 17:50

Actually, the leather bikers are/were really good. They were one of those things that didn’t scream MV and were a well made, staple wardrobe item at a good price.
