Went to buy No7 foundation (pics posted)

..... and my shade was out of stock. Since I've only just been "matched" I decided to try another store in the week. But.... had a little mooch around the counters and got a Chanel sample (which I'd NEVER splash out in, but I've ove £100 worth of points saved). Which is best on me? Here's the No7 shade...

I think I prefer the no7!

Can't tell from the pics...but the correct shade foundation should actually disapear on your skin, so no tide marks, just an improvement on what was there already.

Just get the Chanel, you know it's the one you want Wink

I think the Chanel is too heavy on you

I can't tell much of a difference really.

I use no7 perfect match & I really like it. I used Mac or Bobbi Brown but I was visiting my parents & forgot my make up & decided to try Boots & I prefer it. It's very similar to the BB moisturising one but not so yellow.

Will stick with the No7 I think. It's less than half the price and does feel nice on my skin.

Not sure if it's the lighting but your skin does look better in the Chanel pic. Apologies to your bank balance Smile

On the basis that I can't tell the difference - No 7.

On the basis that you look happier at spending shed loads - Chanel.

Ok, I know this isn't answering your question but have you tried the Estée Lauder double wear one? It's really a firm favourite of mine since I started with it about 4 months ago...
On a seperate note, the No.7 one looks better on you.

No comment other than to say what a bonny lass you are 😊.

Shed loads! Gone are the days of spending my Boots Advantage Points on Pampers and Disney toothbrushes [grin. Will probably stick with the No7 on price.

I think on the Chanel pic, I've had a glass of Merlot (or two) Wink

Nothing to add on the foundation but on other matters - what blusher are you using ? It looks nice.

I can't tell the difference.
I did the colour match thing with No7 but found loreal true match to be a better match and easier to blend.

If you can afford the Chanel on points and you like it, then go for it, but I think that particular shade might be too orangey on you? The no7 I think looks more natural and slightly cooler toned.

chanel looks warmer , it suits you

I've just started compromising. I've swapped from Chanel (what I loved) to Mac (what I'm trying to love)

I like the Chanel on you, I always get decent base products because I think you can tell the difference and buy cheaper eyeliner/mascara where the ingredients don't seem to vary much.

The blusher is Max Factor Nude Mauve. Those little round powder ones, sort of mosaic looking. Think it's Crewe Puff. Have used and replaced, many times.

Thanks for the blusher info! I've got a thread running at the mo about Max Factor blusher - asking if there's anything better. I use a cream one of theirs. Have not heard anyone argue so far that there's a definitely better alternative so am thinking it's probably pretty good ....

The Chanel looks glowier if that's a word.
