Calling all hazel-green eyed ladies, which eyeliners bring out the green?

Sometimes my eyes look very hazel and at times very green. I like the green and would like an eyeliner that helps make my eyes'pop' as they say! Any recommendations? I don't wear eyeshadow.

Purple and gold colours

I used to have a fab purple mascara that really brought out the green in my eyes (mine are blue/green rather than hazel though). It was surprisingly subtle as well.

red is also good - it sounds a bit gross but have a look at the new chanel range - it's perfect for hazel coloured eyes! pic of that twilight girl modelling it at the top

In the 80s I used to wear red eyeshadow. It looked bloody awful, but it made my green eyes, look very very green. Opposite each other on the colour wheel. Not very helpful I know!

There is a lovely Estée Lauder double wear in dark green

I have a green eyeliner which I use for this reason - but I'm going to look into purple mascara now!

Whilst on the subject, if anyone can help make this eye colour a bit less 'muddy' and more 'pop' it can go a really bright green sometimes. Obviously the bloodshot is due to non-sleeping children and there's not a lot I can do about that....

I find a pale taupey silvery colour show and liner in dark taupe makes the green in mine brighter. Purple and red just make me look hungover (although hungover with very green eyes).

Show? Should be shadow

Might be a very slightly better photo...

Red doesn't work for me :( a bright turquoise looks good but can be a bit teenager-y

I think Lisa Eldridge has hazel coloured eyes. If you've not heard of her she's a professional make up artist but has lots of videos on her website doing demos on herself as well.

I'd look like a vampire with red eyeshadow.

Do you think a coat of purple mascara over black would work or does it have to be full on purple?

My eyes look more green when I'm really unwell. Actually that might be because of the purple rings under them.

Yes, there's a shade in the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette that works pretty well. It's called Tease. I use that as a liner on the bottom lid too.

The palette also has a bronze coppery colour called YDK that is also good for hazel eyes.

I think copper shades tend to be good.

I usually wear plum

Thank you.
TheImprobableGirl you have very pretty eyes! They look quite dark browny in the photos though. Are they are dark green?

So, taupe, copper, purple and red! Would love more actual; brand recommendations. There are so many options out there.
Yes I have heard of Lisa Eldridge. I will check her out.

sorry, realised you said you don't like eyeshadow. I do use eyeshadows as liner sometimes though, using a really fine eyeliner brush. That could work well with a copper or plum shade.

Benefit used to do a great plum mascara. I haven't found a decent one since. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Oh, thank you Blush
They are a dark green round the outside and a light brown inner ring usually! Red would be a brave choice Grin

Plum seems to make the green look greener. I have barry m liquid liner in plum but it's more darling purple. Also picked up a plummy coloured bargain mascara in kiko which looks nice.

Plum definitely.

I have a plum mascara and eyeliner from kiko

*Darling purple? Wtf! I quite like it but wouldn't refer to it as darling Hmm

Not the answer you were looking for, but red lipstick (on my lips!) makes my hazel eyes look green.

I agree that it's golds/coppers and purples, although I find a more violet-purple works better than a plum (Bourjois used to do a fantastic violet/purple but I haven't seen it for ages). Also a thin layer of black eyeliner and 'tightlining' for added emphasis. I have one of those thick/chubby pencils in a goldy brown from Barry M which is brilliant for a quick job on my eyes.

Estee Lauder also used to do a really good purple mascara but I haven't looked for a while. I layer it over a black usually.
