What's happening with my Uniqlo delivery? (hermes)

Expecting a lovely delivery from Uniqlo (second time I ordered online from sale and hoping to wear an item for a particular event. First delivery had come no problems)

Hermes are the courier, and I got a tracking number with my confirmation e-mail from Uniqlo.

Got text messages two days this last week to say they're "in the area" but I was at work and lodger was out to work so wasn't anyone in.

According to the tracking information, Hermes have tried to deliver again today hmm but lodger was in and there was no knock on the door.

The tracking information says my parcel has been returned to depot.

I haven't received any calling cards from these alleged attempted deliveries.

so now I have

(1) (allegedly) three deliveries

(2) a courier I don't trust

(3) some missing clothes

I've e-mailed Uniqlo but anyone know what kind of timescale I should be thinking of now, or ways I can ensure I actually get my lovely lovely new down jacket?

Phone uniqlo. I had an order from house of fraser Via hermes. Hermes website said package had been delivered. I hadn't had a card or anything. I live chatted with hermes who said I hag to speak to hof. Hof then rang hermes who put them through to my local delivery person, who left my package in a shrub the day before!

I didn't mean to imply your package might be in a shrub, just that it might be best to ring uniqlo rather than try to go through hermes!

I had the a similar problem. Uniqlo refunded me as they considered the package to be lost. It eventually arrived over a month after I ordered smelling of fags! I returned the package a bit pissed off. it's put me off buying anything from them again. Shame really.

Hermes usually chuck my stuff over the fence or leave it behind the bin. Have you checked the garden?

Hermes are dreadful.... Had huge problems with them before. They really let down the retailers who use them. I won't order from places who use them now.

Searched bins, contacted Uniqlo and it appears Hermes have fibbed and claimed access to my property is impossible (there's a buzzer on the door and I've got other deliveries including a Uniqlo one sent through before)

Uniqlo seem a bit vague as to the whereabouts of my parcel and have sent a few gibberish sentences about not being able to guarantee they can actuallly find it confused and warning me it might take a long time.

So I've made a new order to work address and asked for a refund on the old one, here's hoping!

Seems a shame because it's slightly put me off ordering in the future, and I did really like the last Uniqlo thing I ordered!

I got someone else's clothing delivery (from a different shop!) instead of my Uniqlo online order...

They eventually refunded me the money and then sent a replacement parcel. When I emailed to let them know they had basically sent me a parcel of clothes for free (expecting the standard "oh, sorry - keep them anyway" response), they asked me to post them a cheque for the correct amount!

Hermes is the pits. I won't buy something from a company that uses them I've had so many bad experiences.

Oh my goodness, Hermes are my favourite courier. My chap knows where to leave things if I'm out and always wraps them up in plastic bags and hides them well and leaves me a note or stops the van if he sees me on the school run. He must be the exception based on this thread

My Hermes lady is lovely and uses her noggin about leaving things. She has four children though, so I expect 'common sense' and 'thorough' are second nature to her ...

It's worthwhile trying to develop a relationship with your Hermes courier. I used to hate them for all the reasons above, but I befriended my local one and he really goes out on a limb for me now - we have a safe place for deliveries and he is always really friendly.

In my experience the people who actually deliver the parcels are delightful - I met one leaving my road with a failed delivery and he recognised me and handed over my sister's online order (we live together).

I think the problems come further up the chain.

Our Hermes are total balloons. Dd had 3parcels from different companies, one vanished completely, despite saying delivered at 12 pm when we were sat looking at the- empty of Hermes van- road. The other two shoved through the door of an empty flat across the road, but delivered so did fuck all about it. It took two months to get the money back from the company.(boohoo)

New order came fine to work (I love it), got an e-mail saying original one had been refunded. I do have an ongoing thing with Amazon now though as some bags I ordered haven't arrived.

I like the better variety and prices and convenience of buying online but don't like the chasing up! hmm
