Whistles Tube Skirts

ChablisLover · 10/03/2014 12:07

anyone have the Whistles tube skirts?

Thinking of investing in one using the 25% Grazia code but can't decide.

Are they thick?

Have a Bakujen one and the 25% discounts makes the whistles one relatively good value.

I have a black one (bought with the 25% discount voucher last October), and would definitely recommend them. Someone else I know has a cheaper one which moves up her legs when she walks and she is constantly adjusting it, whereas my Whistkes one stays put. It washes brilliantly, doesn't need ironing and is just brilliant quality. Definitely worth it with the 25% discount!

How does one get the discount? Do I have to buy the mag? And is it in stores or on line?

bonzo77 - You need the voucher that can be found in Grazia magazine to shop instore, or online at whistles.co.uk with the code WH25SS14.

Thanks saurus

Ordered the navy as I have a black one.

Had seen cheaper ones on boohoo but for £8 I thought it could be see through and some go the reviews said that.

Chablis I'm really tempted by the navy one too. I can totally live without it, but just not sure if I want to...

Ooh was looking at them earlier today. Baaaa....

Thank you frankie. Is it a 2 layered skirt you could wear with tights, or only with bare legs? I've got a v cheap one which is great in summer, but sticks to tights as it's one layer.

I love 'em. They suck you in nicely and are really thick and lovely. Wash well too, but take an age to dry! I wish they'd do a grey one.

I've just spotted a navy and white stripy one, and am v tempted. I have a navy silk shirt it would look brilliant with, and some wedges to wear it with.

I've got a black and white striped one (in fact, am wearing it today) and I absolutely love it. It always gets comments, even along the, 'Have you lost weight' lines, which is always nice! :)

What sort of tops do you wear with them? I always chicken out and stick to dresses as can never seem to coordinate stuff!

MadBusLady · 11/03/2014 18:15

Hm, so I tried them all on, gorgeous fit but they're not thick enough to hide the rumple of a tucked in shirt (or not a cotton one anyway). Do you all wear them with t shirts? Shirt tucked into skirt is My Thing

Report
Saurus72 · 11/03/2014 18:19

I wouldn't even attempt to tuck anything into mine - it would not be a pretty sight. I wear mine with a shirt and ankle boots.

I've ordered a dress from Toast (full price, eek! The first time I have ever bought anything from Toast that wasn't in the sale) which should arrive in the next day or so. If I end up returning that, I'm planning on buying the navy and white stripy tube skirt before the Grazia voucher offer ends.

Another fan here. I already had the black one and have just bought the navy. The fabric really sucks you in and they also wear and wash loads better than the cheaper versions. (Yes Top Shop and River Islance, I'm looking at you.)

I usually wear something a bit looser on top e.g. today I'm wearing it with a boxy, croppped, long sleeved T shirt, layered over a longer vest. I also like wearing them with an oversized, V-neck jumper. Not tried tucking in.

That should have been River Island - sorry.

Ooh they're lovely.
What length did everyone get?

I did get a patterned one from primark recently for £3! But I expect it's v thin. (Not worn it yet).

Yes what length? I'm v tall, so longer length?

Report
ChablisLover · 12/03/2014 06:05

I went for the shorter length and it's winging it's way to me now

I get longer length and wear them just below the knee which is more flattering for my thighs. I'm not tall, I just hoik them up to the length I want.

I love mine big style, can't wait to fit back into it after I am no longer whale sized (pregnant, not just fat. Although fat too Grin).
