To soak ds1 in disinfectant?

ds1 has pooed in the bath He's taken a whole load of plastic figures in there, played with them and there's faecal bits floating around in there now.

I've drained the bath, swilled him down with warm water and am now refilling it with disinfectant in.

I'm disgusted

He's not a small boy, he's 14!!! He has man bits and everything. I'm embarrassed having to swill him down It's awful. No more baths

I'd wash him in the bath with the toys, using dettol (or similar!). Yuck. Somehow we managed to avoid this over the years, but I feel for you.

seriously though, tis only a bit of poo - drain the bath, clean it out, shower DS down or re bath and give the toys a good wash in dishwasher or just use washing up liquid or a bit of disinfectant for the TOYS

It has happened a few times here. We just chuck all the toys and clean the bath. No biggie. No need to be disgusted either, in fact at 14 he can clean it himself so that's even better.

He's now going mad because he read the disinfectant bottle and it has do not allow contact with skin written on the label I told him I had considered using bleach!

Warm baths help with movements. Be thankful there weren't bubbles. Makes it worse to scrub down

warm soapy water is all that is needed to clean it off.. you really dont need to use disinfectant on his skin

I would just use baby wipes. That's what they're made for after all.

i was actually aiming that at the people surgesting he go in the dishwasher or microwave and bleach.
it was blatently obvious the op was probally at the end of her tether and probally needed a more supportive approach than those surgestions
