Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

I would be due on the first of December on my rough calculations so I'll join!

I had a miscarriage in October, found out at my 12 week scan, so I hear you on the anxiety front.

We must trust and believe and remain positive, we cannot change a dot either way so let's do this together girl!

Hi ChampooPapi, thanks for joining me on this rollercoaster of a journey. I'm sorry to hear of your last experience.

You're completely right and we can't change a single thing; have to just try and enjoy it and be positive.

How are you finding it so far, any symptoms?

@savethewales just tired currently but only a few days late for af. I have two daughters so this will be my 4th rodeo 🙄 I usually get incredibly queasy from around six weeks and think I'm actually going to die so I live in hope that doesn't happen again.

At least my partner is around as his work finishes on Thursday due to the virus, every cloud I guess but this is a very unsettling time to be pregnant as well.

I reckon I've got one more week before the symptoms hit so going to try and do as much as possible the next few days

@savethewales is this your first? Have you phoned your local midwives to book in yet? Probably worth doing to register, though I think everything will be on the phone now other then scans. How they plan to do bloods who knows?! I will certainly be staying as far away from any hospitals as humanly possible, I'm even having this one at home I think if it all works out

Hi,

That's good, at least he can give you a hand. This virus is completely mad!

This is my first yeah, so totally skitzing about everything. X

Hi can I join? Smile just found out today I'm pregnant, few days before af is due. My due date is beginning of December. Have you got any symptoms? I don't have any!

ChampooPapi · 23/03/2020 19:44

@tossacoin1 I hope it stays that way because my god when it hits you it can floor you! Are you safe and home or still out in the world?

tossacoin1 · 23/03/2020 19:54

@ChampooPapi oh no 🤦🏻‍♀️ when can I expect that to happen? I'm hoping I've got a few weeks yet. Yes I'm inside as I am able to work from home, what about you?

Report
ChampooPapi · 23/03/2020 20:09

@tossacoin1 chances are you'll be lucky, a lot of women just don't get the queasy constant gut wretching squirms i do 😅😣

But if you do the worst is kind of all over in a few weeks, it's that 7-10 week time where you may pray for a swift ending 😉

But we will be here every step 💜

I've got the 2 year old and 10 year old under house arrest pretty much, although I have been taking the toddler for long countryside walks so the older one can study.

Thank heavens we live somewhere fairly rural, we were in Bristol for years but moved back last year to Devon.

Hi Tossacoin, welcome and congrats to you.
My AF is due in two days and feel like my lines and everything are a wee bit stronger than last time. I've got boobs thats sore to touch and heartburn. Nausea comes and goes.
Everyone is different and I'm sure it'll hit us all like a ton of bricks at different times.

I answered your message ChampooPapi while making tea! I emailed the doctor's today on that online thing, just to see the crack and if I had to see a doctor again. They called today and said they'd referred me to the midwife so just hoping all is okay until then
Oh that sounds lovely about being rural, especially now!!!

@ChampooPapi I'm in Devon too!! And I've been thinking the exact same thing, I'm so glad I'm not up country where it's a lot busier. I'm reaaaaally hoping my husband will be able to the 12 week scan but I'm not hopeful.
Well it sounds like I've got a bit of time then so I'll enjoy it whilst I canSmile

@tossacoin1 I know I've been thinking about the scan at 12 weeks too. I think although I would love to have him there, especially as he wasn't at the last one I had where I had some bad news, I am happy for him not to attend. I would be worrying about him touching things and he would become my baby to care for 😆. It's so much easier for me though as I have two other children with him so i really can't imagine what it would be like to go alone for my first.

So nerve wracking, I feel for you ladies, just bad timing in some respects but if your isolating you will also avoid catching anything else too so we are in the best place at the same time too.

I'm in Newcastle on a new build estate, yesterday's guidance hasn't changed a thing to be honest!
I think I'd like my OH to come and his work is brilliant but we'll see. How's everyone feeling today? I had a really weird dream and it's knocked me for six today, I'm also feeling a bit anxious and weird about it all. ARGH!

Hi all,

So so relieved I've found somewhere I can share my good news.
I had a positive pregnancy test after using the clear blue fertility monitor for only one month, it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm due 5th Dec. I was adamant I didn't want a baby whose birthday was Dec or Jan, that went out the window ha!

When is everyone going to share their news with close family and how do you intend on doing it? is anyone feeling anxious that the lockdown will continue for many months? xx

Hi @savethewales,

Sorry to hear you're feeling anxious - me too. Not sleeping but not sure if its the enormity sinking in! x

Hi GreenerGreen, welcome to the party!

Congratulations, that's my OH's birthday. I'm due around the 3rd I think. I've told my best friend other than my husband, but that's it. After my miscarriage I'm anxious about getting everyone's hopes up again.
If it all goes well and when I can see my family again I was hoping to give my mam her mothers day card and put something in there about it.

Are you having any symptoms or anything yet? I've had cramping for the last few days which seems to be normal according to Google...argh! I wish I could stop googling things and POAS. xx

Hi @savethewales,

The only symptoms I have is really sore and massive breasts, none of my bras fit anymore! I usually fluctuate with bras each month but I can't even bare to have them in an underwired bra!
Can anyone recommend a good bra that is going to last me while, considering they're going to get bigger!

hi @Maternitynurse16 congratulations!!! xxx

Can I join please ladies?

I found out a couple of days ago and due date 3rd of dec! I'm so excited but worried about this whole Corona virus thing as I'm also high risk as type 1 diabetic. I also had a miscarriage between Xmas and new year so nervous about that happening again too.

How's everyone feeling? Iv been feeling sick a bit and exhausted!

Excited to be joining you all!

Congratulations everyone!! @ChampooPapi we are rough due date twins!!
I’ve been cramping for the last few days but seems to be dissipating! I’ve also been going to bed super early but that’s not hugely unusual for me!

Thanks for joining me on this ride, hopefully we can all get each other through it!

Can I join too? Due date is 30th Nov but fully expect Dec baby. This will be number 2 for me but it's going to be a very different experience. I called to schedule my booking in appt & I was told they weren't doing them and maybe call next week to see if there's an update.

Christ really? I'm not hopeful I'll hear from the midwife anytime soon x

I was able to fill a form with the local hospital which is generally done in the booking appt so at least I'll be in the system for scans. That might trigger a phone call from a midwife but I'm not sure.

Hopefully you get a call soon. Different trusts are operating in different ways.
