Well done Paper.

We are not having a good night. I slept from about 11-1 and that's it. I've dropped (somehow, I don't remember it) the infacol all down the side of the bed. And my head hurts despite paracetamol. I'm so tired! I started trying to go to bed about 7pm. But no long stretch tonight apparently.

Haha paper as I read the title my hand was farted on, it's like he knew.
Hi first hope you're coping well Grin
indom feels for you, tonight (and all day) Rory has gone no longer than 1.5 hours without feeding, am irrationally angry at dp for not having the boobs! He's also out all day tomorrow (football promotion battle) so will be steaming drunk whenever he comes home and gets another day off parenting (yes Sunday he will be handed baby while I go food shopping relax in Costa for an hour )

Thanks for the Chocolate, I'm up again.

DS2 is filling himself up like a balloon "feeding" and will no doubt refuse to burp again which will mean more grunting around and less sleep.

He's in the swaddle-up. It's not quite as magical as it made itself out to be. Hmm

A local, very famous adventure competition is due to start in 2 hours and I can just about hear the sounds of it all warming up. It's a good weekend for it though.

Dh appears to have given me his crappy cold on top of the one I've been battling from dd.

indom hope any noise they make doesn't disturb you too much, sods law say ds2 will settle down for a good long while just as it kicks off. Keeping my fingers crossed the weather stays fine and everyone remembers their training and there are no accidents. The event still gives me shivers down my spine wanting them all to stay safe!

Thanks for the thread Paper and beautiful baby pic!

Happy birthday ffaux.

Sorry for your bad night Indom. I feel bad to say it but J slept through the night for the first time, from 7:30/8pm until 5:45am. Have just realised that's 10 hours! I didn't sleep that much though. Swapped shifts with DP at 2:30am and kept waiting for him to wake up.

Thanks for the new thread paper we also brought a souvenir back off our summer hols last year..

indom sorry for the crappy night, needless to say my longer stretch of the other night was also a fluke... and then had an argument with DH at 3am as unsure why he sat there awake but didnt take her so I can sleep having just pumped for 45minutes while they were both asleep! He's also in a bad mood as we're off to my family for an overnight stay and apparently he'd rather do them in 2hr chunks like he does his own.. I pointed out how many 2hr visits they'd been recently and he slowly stopped complaining Grin think he just wants to be sat on sofa watching promotion battle instead, what is it about men and football q?

I'm intrigued what this event is Indom and Dobby!

Indom we are using gripe water, which to be honest E doesn't much like and its a bit messy to give using a spoon or syringe. However her wind situation has much improved since we started so I'm persevering.

We had a reasonable night but she still can't sleep longer than 4 hours. A 10 hour stretch would be amazing Rhu.

Vroc we always have parent visiting arguments here. Mine live 200 miles away so it's a bit tough really. His live 20mins away so can just pop in.

Dobby I could only just hear as it was that pre-dawn stillness. I think the teams set off about now though. It's nothing compared to the incessant grunting and thrashing were getting from DS2. Angry

It's a good weekend for it - due to be dry & warm, but not too warm. Rivers are low. It should be good. I can hear the helicopters now... But yes, here's hoping it's an uneventful one.

Purple, I suspect it's not as widely known outside of the region but it would pretty much give away my exact location!

Sleep cycle app suggests I've had 2.5 hours sleep in four blocks. That's a new record for us!

Well done Rhu that's amazing! (Can you get J to have a word with DS2 please!)

Right, I'm going to attempt more sleep...

Oh wow I'd love a 10 hour stint of DS sleeping that would be lush! DS doesn't seem to go down until 10/11pm then normally awake every 2-3 hours for feeding and he's feeding for about an hour or more each time!! Last night I was lucky as he went for 4 hours which I thought was amazing but now you've mentioned 10 hours wow I've not had that much sleep in what feels like forever lol what's your secret! I'd love to be able to get DS to bed at a reasonable time x

Happy belated birthday ffaux!

indom you sound tired! Can you leave DH with an expressed bottle for a while today and get a good chunk of sleep?

Hope time and beaut are ok?

rhu great news on your long stretch of sleep, so it IS possible?! We still have 2ish hourly feeding but they're quick feeds and straight back down to sleep after so I'm not complaining.

Place marking on the new thread!

Glad you had a good night Rhu. I've begun to sleep a bit better now that DS has had a whole week of sleeping through - think my body has stopped expecting him to wake so has stopped waking me up so much!

Isn't the weather glorious. DS has tons of summery outfits in 3-6 but not much in 0-3 and he's no way near big enough for the 3-6 stuff yet! I might have to go shopping if the warm temperatures continue!

MrsElls · 07/05/2016 09:23

I am also intrigued about this adventure event, might have to do a bit of googling!

Cassidy slept for 2 5 hour blocks last night, I will happily take that.

me I have the same issue, loads of 3-6 summer outfits but hardly anything in 0-3. I don't expect 3-6 to be too big for too long so I don't want to spend loads now for her to outgrow it or for the sun to disappear after wearing it once.

Ds has been telling me all week that he needs sunglasses because it is sunny, taking him to buy some today, he's 2 so the chances of him actually wearing them are probably slim!

magpie I am tired!

We've had a few days of 4-5 hour sleep in 1.5-2 hour blocks, and it was ok, as long as a longer block/more of them were forthcoming.

I think that was the worst night so far... But I remember DS1 had a night where he didn't sleep at all till about 5am (and then I was woken at 6am when police raided our neighbours - it was so dramatic I wasn't even cross!). It's not that bad yet!

This headache is making things worse though. It's just not shifting. But on the other hand its Saturday, DH can supervise DS1 while I try to catch up.

I could leave DH with an expressed bottle but.. I don't want to! It's not rational, I know, but he guzzles a bottle worryingly happily, I don't want him to give up BF any time soon!

Me, Next had some lovely shortie rompers in. Apparently Boots have too.

Thanks for the fart expetting yoga link marmite E is very farty, doesn't seem to have trouble getting it out but may experiment i. Case it is behind her evening grizzling.

Happy birthday ffaux, hope you have a good one.

Feeds at 1, 4, 6 last night with various nappy changes and pukes too so DH took on my usual morning dog walk so I could sleep to next feed at 9. Convinced I'd not fall asleep again and think it took 10 minutes. DTH helped (ensures best sleep ever for me, always has)

Hi everyone - Suz here checking in with a name change (inspired by What we do in the Shadows). I've never really cared that having my actual name makes me more identifiable, but with the recent spate of threads being screenshotted in the Daily Mail I started feeling a bit insecure.

Another one here with tonnes of 3-6 summer clothes that she'll probably never wear, she's still in newborn. I got some adorable shorty rompers from next, they've got lots in Sainsbury's too.

I've just been going through E's clothes, she has beautiful 3-6 month dresses but they are too big. I don't think I'm ready to put her in a dress yet either. I'm quite old fashioned in that I like a baby in a baby gro Blush. I've settled on a bodysuit and leggings for when we go shopping and then she can just wear the bodysuit in the garden.

MrsE
that is cute about ds and the sunglasses. I think my ds was a similar age when he "needed" them.

Hi Swear many moons ago I changed my username for the exact same reason. Bloody daily mail.

Indom hope you get to nap later?

Marmite thank you too for the fart yoga sheet. I'm going to try them although E does fart very easily but still looks in pain somedays. When I took her to work she spent about an hour farting on my boss. Such a lady.

purple I'm another babygro fan - for ease of nappy access and as they are so cute. Got her a 'captain adorable' one yesterday, often shop in 'boy' section as I am not a big fan of the sickly sweet girl selectionin many shops - or the idea of such gender sterotyping...

In case anyone wondered what DTH is above that would be DTD. Much more enjoyable now than when we tried in wk 4 after labour.

Good on you french - I have not attempted it yet. I haven't felt in the mood and dh doesn't seem desperate either - I think he's a bit scared by what it's going to be like! And I've barely had a week between bleeding between my lochia, period and now the mini pill messing with my cycles - I've got the heaviest period again right now which is so irritating. I think I'll suggest we attempt it when the bleeding stops as I don't want to go too long and have it become a huge issue!

Possibly weird question but do you do it with baby asleep in the room? Not sure what we would do with DS - put him in another room I suppose!

Report
1frenchfoodie · 07/05/2016 14:02

me either with baby asleep in our room (where she sleeps usually) or, if we are bringing her up from downstairs anyway, in what will be the nursery. She seems to have a 6th sense of when we feel amourous so there have been lots of abortive attempts.

Hello 6 week growth spurt! At least there's a pile of sport on TV to keep me entertained while C spends the afternoon on my boob...

He's turning into a proper long baby - feet right down in his 0-3 month sleepsuits and body too long for his dungarees. I'm another babygro fan because C hates socks!
