Morning all, another week - another weigh in. Would some kind soul be able to add me at 154.5 please?

I am struggling with my willpower at the moment and as a result am yoyoing in the week. This is annoying especially as it is my fault.

Morning all.
Thanks for the new thread BIWI
I'm not weighing today so I have entered last weeks weight. I'm still having the odd blip but it's my own doing. Hopefully this week will be better.
Good luck all Thanks

Thanks for the new thread. I've had a truly shit week last week, but i have now finished my antibiotics and have no excuse not to get back on track

My weight has shot back up, but i imagine a lot is water/glycogen-related so i'll enter it in the spreadsheet in a few days Blush

Signing in. Slinking in, more like, after yet another weekend failure - MIL's birthday and total loss of plot are to blame this time.

My wagon is getting tired of me falling off and getting back on, but that's what I have to do. KOKO, even if I trip and fall sometimes.

I'm going to "cheat" (not really because I know it's the way some people choose to do it anyway) and put my lowest weight in this week, which was Saturday's - it's back up a couple now, but I did get there and I will get there again. Hopefully this week.

Thanks for the new thread, BIWI!

Gah! One and a half pounds on

I knew something was up - been feeling bloated and have been really hungry and stuffing my face (all BC but still...)

Back to basics this week.

Sorry mook and moan, missed your birthday. Have a Cake
I have weighed and am sts (but not in the spreadsheet). Have managed to wear size 18 skinny jeans (with a floaty tunic thing - wasn't too horrendous) that didn't zip up two weeks ago so something is happening.
My very glamorous slim younger cousins are coming up on Saturday for a night our. I'm catering so will do fajitas so I can eat the fillings and lots of salads. Might definitely be lots of booze so will try to stick to just the booze being the bad thing. Have already booked DH and DD to take me out for a fry up on Mother's Day (after a disaster last year where DH refused to even discuss Mother's Day as he was 'too busy' doing decorating stuff he'd put off for over a year, still expected Father's Day lie in/steak dinner/card though and took the hump when I made the point) to cure my hangover and be back on it straight away.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone and the Cake Gcal. Happy birthday to you, too Moan Flowers
Well, I did have Cake and more Cake yesterday, so a line will be drawn.
It was only one day, but what a heck of a day! DS3 and I had a Harry Potter marathon as well, so I hardly left the sofa.
Unsurprisingly, I haven't weighed this morning and don't intend to for a few days.
I'm going to do BC, no lite, this week and get back on track.
Well done to the losers and KOKO to those who have STS or put on.

Belated Birthday Wishes to Moan!

Gcal would you mind explaining 16:8 to me please?

I will weigh in tomorrow morning- couldn't weigh this morning until after eating, so didn't bother. I always weigh on an empty stomach!

good luck for Week 7 everybody.

Nigella 16:8 is a version of intermittent fasting where you fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour window. It's the length of the fast that's important rather than the length of the eating window. So if you finish your last meal of the day at 8 p.m. then you don't eat anything the next day until 12 noon the next day. I do 14:10 so I have a 14-hour fasting window. If you're losing weight then you shouldn't need to do any fasting. I started fasting when I was 6 lb from my target weight and hadn't lost any weight for several months.

Hi all!
Back from France and 2lbs up, which is no surprise. Going to do a food shop later so no idea what food will be for today.

Weirdly all the carbs that were consumed this last week weren't that enjoyable. The odd treat that I was looking forward to was worth the gain but most of the meals were horrible. I don't know if it's an awareness of what I'm eating or if I really don't enjoy carb heavy food anymore. Dreading going through carb flu again getting back into BC this week.

Good afternoon.

I am not weighing, but came on to say that I no longer have to wear my really-sucky-in corset thingy under my jersey dresses. My midriff thanks you, BIWI.

I think I may aswell try that, Gcal, because I wake up totally unhungry and often don't eat til midday anyway. I havn't posted it for obvious reasons but I usually skip breakfast and follow what my stomach tells me regarding meal times. Not eating after 8pm would be easy too.

I am a pound or two away from my "goal weight"- I put it in inverted commas because it really is my interim goal. I initially told myself that my goal was 9.5 stone because I didn't honestly believe I could do any more. But in actual fact I would love to be 9 stone, and in the past it has always been really slow and difficult to lose that last half stone.

Signing in - not weighing either! Marking place for later in the week. BIWI, have you ever noticed if people have more success on Bootcamp in the spring/summer?

I would love to be 9 stone. Last time I weighed I was 10 stone 10. I'm only 5'2", so even 9 stone isn't uber-skinny for me.

Upping the exercise this week. I Shredded last night and cycled to the train station this morning - gaah! It was much much harder than I thought it would be. I have to cycle back tonight and I am dreading it.

Food today:
B: Bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, fried tomato
L: Fried chicken thigh & crayfish salad with mayo.

Moanranger · 29/02/2016 14:42

I will post weight tonight when I weigh in at my fitness class. I sympathise greatly with ishould. I have lost weight at a slimming retreat in the summer - a stone n a week, one of the best results. It was around 350-400 cal/da, mostly veg. I lost a lot about 8 yrs ago on Lighter Life. On that basis I thought a strict no carb regime would work.
This is going much slower than I hoped. I can only just knuckle down & keep trying. And I keep the imagine in my head from yesterday, trudging uphill, feeling my thighs rubbing together & hating the feeling of being fat, and I will try to draw on that when I am tempted to go off plan.
Setting aside weight loss, I really enjoy the lack of hunger. If I had eaten porridge before yesterday's walk, I would have been faint with hunger, but with LC I had steady energy through to 2:30. KOKO

Just checking in quickly - well done everyone who's lost or STS Flowers

Not weighing this week or next, as I'm not at home: and sticking as close as I can to BC - which is a bit difficult because I'm not cooking for myself and don't have any input into meals. I am being very polite, though Grin

Pottering round the house without my crutches since Friday, though, which is good news: my dressings are still a bit leaky (sorry - TMI) and I have the mother of all bruises up the back of my leg (which is where they harvested the muscle for the new ligament from) but all in all, far less bad than I anticipated! What is hard is sitting down to meals where there's a big bowl of crunchy-looking apples- I am resisting so far, as I found fruit the hardest change to make, and it did take weeks for the cravings to go: but please all cross your fingers for me that I can make it through Grin!

I am hoping to be able to manage at home from after I've seen the surgeon again next week - but if not, I'll plough on doing the best I can 'til I can look after myself again.

Hang in there, everyone - especially those finding it tough at the moment: and for everyone to whom it applies, have a wonderful Mothering Sunday (preferably waited on hand and foot, of course!). I'm not around much atm because down here in the rural Home Counties, it's still dial up - but I am sending you all very good wishes and exhorting everyone to KOKO!
