What was her reason for contacting them??

Litterbug · 19/07/2008 21:55

I'd only have to shout upstairs!

What was it about?

morningpaper · 19/07/2008 21:57

wait let me find it

it sounded like a good idea for an article but basically ended up with you wanting to reach for the prozac

God she was so depressing, self centred... it's not original stuff (has she read Nick Hornby?) - why why why did they publish it?

I don't know what it was QUITE so depressing

I wondered that CK

I can imagine that it might be pitched as something funny

But there was nothing redeeming about it

It was supposed to be FUNNY?

Didn't quite come across, did it?

Report
morningpaper · 19/07/2008 22:03

I'm not sure WHAT it was supposed to be

It was the sort of thing you'd really want her to tell her therapist

She writes like another (former) Guardian columnist who I dare not mention

It wasn't funny, that's for sure.

i gave up when the miss selfridge skirt cheered. seemed to go on for a long time. where was it in the paper?

hasn't tanya gold lost weight or something recently? i'm sure she was in the DM recently, there was a thread.

I thought it was really bizarre. No wonder not all of the blokes wanted their pictures taken for the article!

I couldn't read all of it. I was losing the will to live.

ExterminAitch · 19/07/2008 22:08

yep

worth a gander for the photos. i'm not wrong about Walliams, she's a dead ringer.

I wondered if she was some sleb or summat that I had passed me by. Couldn't see a reason for the article otherwise.

And she seemed to have some sort of "stirrings" for a good proportion of them, despite having explained quite what was wrong with them. It was all very wrong and pointless. The only point I could see being made was that she was once an alcoholic and no longer drinks. True of a lot of people.

expat - yes but there were only 15

were they all total losers?

clearly the reason she met up with them in order to say 'look, i've lost weight'. she's not very good, is she?
