Fingers crossed for them - it's been 2 months Shock

Was reading in the Guardian that one (un-named) miner has decided to divorce his wife when he gets out. I wonder if it's widely known and all the wives are thinking, is it me?

Or triumphantly punching the air, you never know.

MaMoTTaT · 08/10/2010 18:49

blimey echt - and I was just about to say how happy they'll be to see their family again!

lal123 · 08/10/2010 18:51

Good news - but would you or wouldn't you want to be the first going up in that capsule?

2shoes · 08/10/2010 18:53

or the last

They should have a couple of people in Planet of the Apes masks pull them out.

TanteRose · 11/10/2010 13:07

UQD - maybe they will.......in the movie version of the event (which is already in the pipeline )

queribus · 11/10/2010 20:17

Surely the worst job is the medic who is going down there Shock to check them out first. Whoever does that is brave!

And 90 minutes in something that looks like the inside of a loo roll!!! It's horrific just thinking about it.

I know it's better than being stuck in the mine, but it brings me out in a sweat just thinking about it.

phipps · 11/10/2010 20:19

I really hope they are all got out safely and that they suffer no ill effects. One man will meet his baby daughter for the first time but then another man has to explain his other woman to his wife.

Meglet · 11/10/2010 22:22

It gives me the willies thinking about a) going up in that tube and b) being the last one down there.

I might avoid the news for a couple of days until they are all out.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 12/10/2010 08:00

Fantastic news for them. I did read an article over the weekend that there is a fight going on over who will be the last one taken up. That way he can say he spent the longest time underground.
Whatever, I hope they enjoy their freedom.

i just hope it is soon
