Hi

We have moved house and the oven in the new property is DISGUSTING - I even found dog hair in it??? It will have to do until we can afford another one - what is the best cleaner to use? I need something that is pretty stress free as I have 6m old DD and she won't be patient and let me get on with it

TIA

oven mate from Lakeland or Kleeneze.

Simple - paint on the gel, leave for half a day and simple wipe off with kitchen roll, no smell, no nothing except a nice clean oven

Oven Pride (comes with a bag) is the best non-smelly cleaner ever. £3.45 from Tesco! Bargain!

Oven mate is fab - but wear gloves, long ones if you can, it burns - I know! But it gets the job done.

My Dad is the best oven cleaner LOL - their oven is like no one ever cooks in it - Mum is since he retired, he does all the cooking AND cleans the oven!! she just gallivants about!

In serious response, I don't know cos I haven't cleaned mine in many moons years.

Another vote for Oven Mate, it's so easy and effective. BUT make sure it doesn't touch anything else - it burned a small hole in our wooden worktop once........

Thanks all. I couldn't get to lakeland today - so went for the Mr Muscle option to get the worst off and so I can cook without wondering if DH will get doghair in his crumble Will do the Ovenmate option as soon as a Lakeland trip is possible.

if it's that bad and you have just moved in you could get one of those steam clean companies in to do it like Ovenu. They do a really good job for you.

Oven Pride is toxic but definitely gets the job done.

Wow! I just love these cleaning threads.

I clean the oven fairly reguarly (my wife never has in 20 years) and Mr Muscle just does not do enough for me. I get fairly upset when there are little bits left on.

Even if they are really tough burned on bits I want them all off in one go. I want it to be like new.

Oven Pride it is.

Oven Pride - the best thing to have ever been invented (well, not the best, that would probably be penicillin or anaesthetic, but you know what I mean)
