Which compartment do I put the washing powder in?

I know that seems like an odd question, I have washed clothes before, honest! Blush I've always used liquid washing stuff, but washing powder was cheaper so I bought that instead.

I've gone to put it in the machine, and I usually put the fabric softer in the middle compartment, but now I'm wondering if that's where the powder should be going? Confused

The biggest part is normall for the powder might have little marking on in 1,2 &3
You put it in 2, 3 for fabric softener usually smallest bit

1/i is prewash
The flower symbol is for conditioner

Middle one of ours is for detergent. The one with a flower symbol is for softener. Can you post pic as dm's is a different configuration.

My washer goes: 1. Pre-wash, 2. Fabric Conditioner, 3. Washing Powder.

Ours has three compartments. From left to right, they are softener (there is a little lid on a hinge, and its the smallest compartment in the whole drawer), then another compartment in the middle which is where the powder goes, and then another compartment on the right hand side which is for pre-wash.

the drawers are usually numbered.
a smaller one with 1 or l for prewash
a larger one with 2 or ll for main wash
a flower for softener

I just put the powder directly into drum, we have low water pressure in winter and not all powder would be taken from the drawer.

take a photo - it's the only way we will be able to help you.

Usually the powder goes in the biggest compartment. It's 2 on my washer.

You'll probably notice powder washes a lot better too

I'm having the same problem (recently changed to powder) I've just been putting it into the drum.

This is the picture of it though (no numbers from what I can see) can someone tell me which bit the powder is supposed to go in? And what the other bits are for Blush It's a hotpoint if that's any help.

Which compartment do I put the washing powder in?

I'm assuming the biggest compartment on the right? I just want to double check though!

Slight tangent, how do you put powder straight in the drum? And does this avoid having to wash out the powder drawer??Grin I don't use fabric conditioner. I used to use eco wash balls and one thing I miss since switching to powder is not having to wash out the drawer!😥

Op I have the same machine.blue bit for conditioner and the long curved one for powder.

On a separate note, red bug mug, I have the same problem with powder being left in the drawers, but it only happened in this machine since we moved house last year. I have been carefully with measuring the amount of powder so am.wondering about the water pressure now.thanks for bringing this to my attention.
