Really nice cottage / house at Christmas?

Looking to rent a place for a week over Christmas - a nice, maybe even luxurious (!) house or cottage for family of four, somewhere pretty in the UK (closer to London the better in terms of driving, but I could be tempted by the Lake District, Yorkshire etc)

Any great reccs? TIA

We stay at Wringworthy holiday cottages in Cornwall. Have only been there once over Christmas but it was lovely. the areas good - Eden Project place has ice skating and hot chocolate and people do mad things like swim in the sea on Christmas day. Have also been to North Wales - bit remote and quiet but still good.

We're going here next week. It looks good, sleeps 4, free atm for christmas week. I have high hopes.
