Early Spring Clean : Anyone for a 400 pounds by Easter challenge?

Gameboy · 19/01/2007 13:44

Was listening to a radio programme the other day about making money from your old things and it made me realise how much stuff I've got 'waiting to go on eBay'.

Just wondered if anyone fancied a challenge to see how much we can each make from selling the unwanted stuff we have by Easter. I reckon I could get to about ?400 maybe?

We'd have to share our eBay names, and then keep a running total of everything we sell between now and 31st March?

For simplicity's sake I'd suggest we just tot up the totals invoiced (incl. P&P)rather than the net profit IYSWIM?
To include only unwanted items - not trading of new goods etc....

I thought if it became competitive it might spur me into action more !

My ID is Benollie.

Haven't listed anything yet, but have just dug our some old skiwear!

We could keep the thread 'live' by added updated totals as the sales mount up?

And then, of course, have a smug "what I'm going to spend it on.." thread

well I've started listing some old PS1 games - don't know if they'll sell but I'm putting them on with low starting prices so it won't cost me too much if they don't LOL.

Right CC and Gameboy - I've added you both to my 'favourite sellers' list in "my ebay" so I can keep track of you .

I'm sure you'll have much more success than me - I'm crp at writing stuff about what I'm selling.....and my stuff is pretty crp too LOL

I have to say the thought (not that it's likely to get anywhere close to that with that trash I have to sell - I think I'll be lucky to get anything for some of it) of £400 is quite nice - it would leave me only £150 short of the Bugaboo that I'd love......

fannyannie · 19/01/2007 17:38

well it is.......for me - if I didn't think it was cr*p I wouldn't want to get rid of it...and actually my hymn book I've just listed is lovely - I just never use it anymore - and probably never will.

Thinking I may get some 'bundles' of sheet music on there too - got LOADS that I've been given over the years and it never gets used.

75? Goodness! GO on then. lol ! I better go find that charger otherwise I will be lagging behind...

Report
fannyannie · 19/01/2007 17:49

well - ok lets aim for 50 to start with - perhaps 75 is a little ambitious LOL.

Oh - excellent to have you all on board! (Thanks for taking on the 'Deputy' role, Fanny ! )

SuzyCreamCheese - are you going to share your ID?

I just thought if we saved each other as sellers than when we got a 'new listing from your favourite seller' e-mail it would motivate us to all list more!
