I have my booster today but husband has tested positive - should I still get it?

As the title. I assume it’s fine to get it, but can’t find anything online.

He’s positive but I’m negative. Is there any additional risk getting the booster given it’s quite likely I’ll get it too?

They'll ask you if you have been in contact with anyone who has CV. I don't know what they do if you have!

As long as you are asymptomatic I’d say you’re fine. I’d prob take an lft test before going.

Husband is recovering from covid - day 9- and I haven’t got it yet despite sleeping next to him the whole time.

I’ve never been asked this. And surely everyone has been in contact with someone with cv recently Even if you didn’t realise.

Dh went for second jab when dd had covid. He got covid couple days later. He had it very mild.

If you don't have symptoms, then you can go.

I'm in the same situation as you, husband had positive PCR on Sunday, mine was negative. I got my booster on Monday (no one asked about contacts). The problem is I now have covid symptoms and I don't know if it's the booster or I've got covid.

I believe that if someone in your household tests positive you have to isolate until you get a negative PCR. If your PCR is negative then as long as a daily lateral flow test is negative you can go about your daily business, unless it's the new omini variant.

If the above is true then yes, I would be getting it.

As long as you don’t have to isolate as a contact and don’t have symptoms, you’re fine to have it done.

That depends where in the UK you are. In England you don’t need a negative pcr.

In England yesterday at a busy vaccine centre, I was asked if anyone in my household had covid. They were sending people home who said yes.

My LTF is negative and I’ve ordered the household PCRs just to be sure. I’ll get it then, thanks for all the advice

Actually, I just had my booster in England they ask and if you are a close contact and if you are, they will send you home.

Probably due to risk factors? They re even stricter with under 28s (probably due to myocarditis) my son just scraped in as he was just 3. months past Covid.

I had my moderna booster last night, they didn't ask anything about household members or being in contact with anyone who is positive. They asked me...had I tested positive in the last 28 days, did I have any symptoms of covid, was I well and did I have a reaction last time.

Just had mine. Wasn’t asked about contacts.

This isn’t a national policy. Centres aren’t required to do this. It’s a shame some people will have to rebook unnecessarily.

My husband had a positive PCR on Friday, my PCR was negative. My booster was Saturday I had a negative lateral flow an hour before my appointment so I went. I told the nurse, no one asked me anything, she said I could still have my booster so I did. I then tested positive yesterday both lateral flow and PCR. It's tricky but I'd go if your lateral flow is negative.

That's the rule with most bloody common sense to it. If you're living with someone with covid then you shouldn't be going out. Its fucking stupid to carry on going out.

I meant the rules are different to England and Scotland. Surely if it's safer to stay isolated then that shouldn't depend on whether you live in England, Scotland or Timbuktu?
