Our other thread is getting quite long and I know they stop at 1,000 comments so thought I’d make a new one for us .
I am so sorry if I’ve missed anyone , just going by usernames I remember off the top of my head !
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant (miscalculated and thought I was only 4+3). Going for an 8 week scan (I’ll be almost 9 weeks) on 25th Jan.
but I am really enjoying joining you on your journeys on TTC and you’ve all been amazing so I didn’t want to just say goodbye to the thread .
Please come on in if you’re new here , and join everyone on their journeys . I feel like we’ve been chatting forever but it’s only been a couple of months. What a roller coaster it’s been!

Anyway, as we were!

@Liam2018 I used to be irregular and then I got the coil which stopped my periods all together so when I got the coil taken out I had zero clue where I was ! We’ve Only been trying since October. I appreciate we are very lucky.
You’ve not quite reached peak yet but just keep DTD as and when you can and don’t focus too much on strips .
Your line has to be equal to or darker than the control line so you’re not ovulating yet. Almost though ! But honestly just do it when you can !

I've decided to test tomorrow if still no sign of AF. I feel pretty rubbish (nausea / headache / tired) and if I'm not pg then I'm ill and want sympathy! I had a Christmas get together with friends and spent the whole time concentrating on not thinking about feeling sick. I'm worried I might actually be ill and have infected them all 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ok yeah maybe i should take the relaxed approach and it seems to be the most effective. Wow you did well did you just take the relaxed approach too?

Hi everyone,

I’m new here, so hoping to find people I can share my TTC journey with.

I came off the pill in May and we started TTC in November, but we got really bad food poisoning when I was ovulating so December was our first proper cycle TTC. I am currently 30 and DH is 32.

We’ve been using the ClearBlue connected OPKs with the app, which so far seem to be ok at showing high and peak fertility. I had a bit of spotting 2 days ago (cd25) which I was hoping might be implantation bleeding as it was quite early, but today AF has arrived, so I guess not...

@CurbsideProphet sounds promising ! Especially the headache so I hope it is a positive . Please let us know either way as I’ll be dying to know !
@Liam2018 honestly the relaxed approach is what did it . The first try after my period in October was stressful , I was tracking and it made me and my husband miserable . Then after my period in November I swore we would just do it as and when and it worked . And like I say the week I conceived is when we did it once !

@dsttc123 so sorry it didn’t end in a positive , I hope next month is tour month ! 💕

Thanks for making a new thread @itsemily 🥰 You mentioned that they put your friend on the pill for a month to help regulate her cycle but I really don’t think I want to do that having been on the pill for 15 years and now ttc! I will ask for bloods and a scan to make sure my hormone levels are ok and that my ovaries are doing what they should be. My mum had polycystic ovaries so I think it would be good if I could rule that out.

TMI but I've had a bit of pink discharge when I wipe after peeing. Pretty sure AF is just messing about and will start properly tomorrow. I'm normally a short cycle of 25 days, but tomorrow will only be day 28. Still feel sick and headachey Sad

@curbside that sounds promising as the day before I got my BFP I had ewcm with a streak of pink in it. Never had it before that !

Hi ladies! Joining in if that's ok? I was on the last thread! Glad things are going well for you @itsemily you must be so excited

I'm still currently being tortured by my AF but back to DTD at the weekend in the hopes that this time i will be getting a BFP this time! Last time we DTD day of solid smiley face and the day after. This time we are doing it the day before solid smiley face and on the day! Hoping it makes the difference! 🤞
Baby dust to you all!! ❤️❤️

@Ginge35 thanks for joining us ! Glad to see you you and I hope you get your BFP soon. I definitely advise DTD regularly running up to your solid smiley because my dr told me that when you get your smiley you can actually ovulate 6 hours or so later , so say if you get your solid smiley in the morning and go off to work , and DTD at night, you may have already ovulated so you’ll miss the egg! As the OPKs are just an estimation and can’t detect the timeline of when you’ll ovulate, they say you’ll ovulate 48 hours after but that’s not always the case and I did an Internet cheapie OPK and got a surge for all of 5 hours but luckily we’d DTD already a few days before - and voila ! So don’t rely too much on them x

I massively caved and tested soooo early. Only 7DPO and on cycle day 21. Just keep feeling sick in the afternoon but that's probably because I haven't eaten for a while (that Christmas snacking!). Anyone else impatient?! I'm trying so hard not to be but it's tricky!!!

Hannahb26 · 30/12/2019 10:10

The test was BFN if not obvious already 🙈

Report
CurbsideProphet · 30/12/2019 10:41

@Hannahb26 I'm now on 14dpo and have some cramps and a bit of brown discharge when I wipe. I'm not POAS until later in the week, unless AF shows up in the meantime.

I keep feeling sick too, but have also done a bit of Christmas snacking Blush it's hard to tell isn't it. I'm so impatient, but as it's only my 2nd cycle of ttc I'm trying not to get myself too worked up. Trying not to anyway! Hope you're feeling ok, there's still time Flowers

@itsemily I think you're right! I had my solid smiley in the morning and then went off to work and it wasn't until DH came home at 10pm that we got cracking 🙈
Thankfully he's off work at the moment so should be able to schedule some "us" time quite easily!
God it's awful isn't it! I've become that person that actually schedules DTD! 🤣🤣

@Cheyanne101 this is only my 2nd cycle and I'm already a bit miserable about it. I don't have anyone to talk to IRL (apart from DH) so I'm very grateful for mumsnet!

I feel like I'm completing a captain's log or something here Hmm but I don't have anyone to talk to IRL.
CD 28
Still no sign of AF, but I still have some cramps and feel a bit sick. No brown discharge since yesterday morning.

DH thinks I should wait until the end of the week before POAS in case AF is just late. His reasoning is that waiting until Friday won't change anything if I am pregnant and it will save the downer of a BFN if I'm not, on top of the added glumness of AF rearing her ugly head. Plus I do have cramps and that would normally indicate AF is coming.

I'm working today, allegedly, and finding it so hard to concentrate. I don't want to get my hopes up considering this was only cycle 2 of trying.
