Anybody else? I'm on CD16, pretty sure I ovulated over the past day or two, now for the long frustrating wait to POAS! Why is it so hard to resist for 14 measly days?!

We are TTC #2 and this is our first cycle of trying.

Hi I’m mid was through and have already given in to my decision to wait until period due and ordered tests!

I have some sat in the draw. I really shouldn't buy them until just before I'm ready to test!

It's so hard, AF is due 1 week today. I'm pretty sure we are out this month as only managed to dtd once... the temptation is too much 😩

GlamourBear · 22/08/2018 09:37

I don't know why I do it to myself as I know testing early is just setting myself up for disappointment anyway 🙈

I'm so going to try not to test before then, by 1st I'll be desperate to though I know it.

Fingers crossed for BFPs!

@AlwaysInJods it’s still possible I inseminated once with my dd 72 hours before I ovulated.

@GreatestShowWoman really? I love hearing stories like that!

Giving me a little bit of hope but I think we were about 24-36hrs after. Always next month 😩

Yes! I normally pee on so many sticks during tww, I am really trying not too this month though, I am 5dpo and usually have a short luteal phase, please help me sit on my hands!

TWW for me as well!

This is my second month ttc. I did not use ovulation tests this month but quite confident I ovulated around CD14 (maybe a day or two later) as that was when we dtd. My cycle ranges from 28-34 days so I'm going to have to be patient and not buy any tests (I spent a fortune last month!). What day in your cycle did you ladies ovulate? And are you planning on waiting for AF or you going to do pregnancy test as soon as poss?!

Good luck to you all!

@ashers89 I'm on cycle 2, too.

I ov'd on CD13 of 26 day cycle. I'm now CD18. I know that the odds are completely against us this month and also know that symptoms before 7dpo aren't symptoms but that doesn't stop me SS'ing like mad 🙈 DH thinks I've lost the plot

GlamourBear · 22/08/2018 17:05

@ashers89 I'm cycle day 16 of 28/29. I'm already symptom spotting 🙈 I had some pink spotting today along with some light cramps so I'm unsure what that's all about! Maybe too much BD as according to the OPKs I only ovulated two days ago so way too soon for implantation. I remember reading into things too much when we were TTC #1 and promised myself I wouldn't this time around. It's so hard though!

AlwaysInJods It's nice hearing from someone going through the same thing. What kind of symptoms do you have? (even though we can't call them 'symptoms' lol)

I've been feeling a weird pain in what I can only imagine to be my left ovary the past few days. No pain today but a slight pulling feeling. Not that any of this means anything!

When do you plan to test? Or are you going to just wait and see if you miss AF?

Report
ashers89 · 22/08/2018 17:24

hey GlamourBear

I know completely what you mean about reading into things. Last month I was so confident i was pregnant...was getting all the symptoms and then AF showed up - i was so devastated! Can't go through that again so just trying to stay positive and not look into things too much.

When you said spotting I was thinking that is a really good sign but yeah I think two days after ovulation would be too soon. Maybe you ovulated earlier and the OPKs wrong?? Just trying to throw it out there! You never know. How long have you been ttc?

@ashers89 I suppose it's difficult not to get excited when these little ones are so wanted!

Last month I'm certain we missed me ovulating so this is our first/second month I suppose!

It's not impossible as I got a BFP with our first at what I thought was completely the wrong time to be testing but something told me to take a test! But I am determined not to get my hopes up too high this month!

@ashers89 that sounds positive? I started to feel really nauseous yesterday and it's continued today, my boobs usually start to hurt about a week before AF and they haven't 🤔 and I've literally wanted to cry all day at everything.

Not sure if it's because I'm overtired with our puppy keeping me awake the past few nights (good practice though 😝). Like I said I'd be really surprised if it did happen this month as only dtd about 24hrs after smiley... but who knows 🙈

I'm going to try and resist it... how about you?

Ashers89 I am cd 24 of a possible 28 day cycle.. although I have been taking vitamin C to try and lengthen by luteal phase so I am hoping for a much longer cycle this month! It's my 6th month TTC
I love hearing about everyone's symptom spotting.. I had to get up in the night for a wee twice last night! It's rare if I get up once normally, and also the cat hasn't left me alone these last 2 days, he keeps jumping up on my knee and lying on my belly (I am realistic, I know it's too early for symptoms but how cute of a story would that be!)

Hi all, I hope you don’t mind me adding to here. I am currently 7DPO and due AF on Tuesday. I don’t normal symptom track since a MC in dec as it’s very consuming but this month I have been very aware of early changes.

I wanted to share them with you to see how they compare.

0-3: left boob hurting straight away
4: dull brown creamy CM and constipation
5 continued faint cm and tommy problems and a new dull ache like when ur period is nearly due
6 diar and headache in the morning (that woke me up), continued light brown cm and vivid dream
7: vivid dreams, and both boobs now feel tender- not unbearable but noticeable, verbally feel unwell (exhausted in the mornings) but fine in the afternoon. Constant dull ache in the lower back.

Iv started to use the one steps, so far no luck! On my first pregnancy I got a v v faint positive the day of AF, and then confirmation with clear blue digi.

I always wondered if I would have known earlier has I tried Clear Blue or FR sooner so I think I’m going to give one a try this weekend and then try and hold out until Tuesday!

8 DPO - woke up much earlier today around 5 with the need to go for a week, normally I just sleep until the alarm at 7, boobs aren’t unbearable but still a noticeable feeling.

Fingers crossed!!! I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I’m glad I’m making a note of these ‘feelings’ this month as I can never normally remember from month to month if I’m experiencing something new.

So I've had light spotting and cramps for two days now which is very odd! Trying not to get excited as I'm sure I only ovulated a few days ago.

I've read that you can test 3-4 days after implantation, so not sure whether to test a bit earlier or am I setting myself up for disappointment??

I just gave up trying to hold off and bought the cheapest crappiest eBay ones I could find! Like 50 for £3 or something Shock

Started on 7dpo as I was giving blood that day. Imagine my shock when one was positive that day! Grin it made for a looooong first trimester though!

GlamourBear 48hts after implantation is the earliest you could possibly have sufficient HCG in your system and that relies on you having higher-end of normal in your system generally (1-5 units of hcg is 'normal' for a non-pregnant female, if you have 3 or more units normally then 48hours after implantation you'll have 6 or more, which is the sensitivity of the most sensitive tests).
