Hi ladies! Today is 1dpo (I think?) so just heading into the tww. I'm trying for my 2nd and on C2. Anyone want to keep me company? Xx

Hi @KimRobs87! I'm thinking I'm 2dpo but not entirely sure! Waiting for temps to continue to rise to confirm it!
TTC number 2, on cycle 6.
Did you use OPKs or anything this month or taking it relatively easy atm?

I'm 2dpo, TTC no 2 and this is cycle 2 for me as well! Practically TTC twins 😉

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong - love the name, unfortunately my son likes that programme too lol. Yes used OPK's since month 1. Found them really helpful when I was trying for my 1st. How about you?

@8DaysAWeek - hi twin! How're you feeling this cycle? Xx

@KimRobs87 it slowly drives me mad whenever I hear it!!
Yes used OPKs for the last few months, this was the first month I've got a peak day though (I was a bit lazy/got bored previously!) so obviously we Dtd loads 😂!!

I've been using those clear blue OPK'S which seem quite good, supposedly gives you more fertile days as detects 2 hormones (rather than just LH). Like you, we've DTD 4 times from Fri - weds and got my peak on Tues morning so really hoping this month is the month. (Sorry if tmi). Hope this is our month ladies xx

@KimRobs87 I feel better about this cycle than the last one. I stopped BFing DS a few months ago. My period only returned two weeks after I completely stopped (when he was 19 months!) so I think the first proper cycle was a bit wonky. I've been temping and the temps are looking a lot better this month.

I got a positive opk a whole week earlier than I did last month too. I was expecting to just be going into my fertile week this weekend and I'm in the 2ww already! 1 week less to wait Grin

When are we all thinking of testing??

@8DaysAWeek - Yeah, I got my peak 4 days earlier this month? Do you think that means we'll have a shorter cycle? Currently af is due 31/05. My app says I can test on 28/05 but not sure when's best? Still ages to go 😩 how about you? X

AF is currently due 29th, who knows when I'll test!
Last month I was 8 days late, my body is taunting me!! Though I think it was because I started Conceive Plus tablets part way through so through my cycle out a bit.

Yep, they're the ones I'm using-clear blue advanced. Got a 20pack toco we all bases of a crazy cycle, but only used 6 in the end Smile

8DaysAWeek · 17/05/2018 21:03

@KimRobs87 yeah it should be 4 days earlier. The luteal phase (time between ovulation and next period) rarely changes beyond a day either way if periods are regular. So if you always have a 14 day LP then AF should come in 13 days for you.

My LP last month was super short and only 9 or 10 days, but I read that's common once they return after BFing or coming off the pill. So I'm hoping it's lengthened out!

I think I'm going to test on Sunday 27th. I'll be 12dpo. I don't want to test on the Monday or Tuesday as I'm working those days and don't think I can wait until the Wednesday Grin

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong 8 days late!?! That's so cruel!!

Report
TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 17/05/2018 21:14

@8DaysAWeek I know, so cruel!! But I wasn't sure when I ovulated either...

Oh gosh, I hadn't considered work, I'll either test early on the Sunday too or have to wait until the Thursday 31!! Ahhhh so long away!

Oh actually- just realised I'll be on holiday that week anyway!!
With my parents and sister and brother in law... oh gawd!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't think I could concentrate if I tested and went straight to work!! I work mon - weds so maybe the Sunday then? So if af is 4 days early it'll be 28/05 then? Interesting, I'm all for having to wait as long! 8 days is a killer 😭 xx

Say you're on antibiotics for something not serious? Maybe like earache or something lol! How soon would you tell your family? I told my immediates straight away like my mum, sisters but the waited until 12 weeks to tell everyone x

Hi, I’m trying to TTC number 3. I have been having around 34/35 day cycles. Last month I got a positive OPK same day as this cycle (CD21) so I think I’m going to have same length. Sounds silly but I’ve just seen that you should have sex before you ovulate not after as I thought!! Think I would know by now! Is this true? I got positive OPK CD21 , DTD CD21 and 22 think if not pregnant this month I will DTD earlier say cd 18/19?
Anyway I am now just starting the TWW as on CD24 which I think is 2 days past ovulation or possibly 3.

Good plan @KimRobs87 I will have to think carefully about what is potentially wrong with me...we leave on the Friday.
We don't plan on telling anyone until the scan! That was the plan with my previous pregnancy too, but had to tell them at 9weeks due to bridesmaid dress fitting!!

Hi @Cloud9889 I think DTD just after a peak is good too, but I've read best to have a few spermies lying in wait already as well (so to speak)!

Report
8DaysAWeek · 17/05/2018 22:04

Hi @Cloud9889! I think dtd before ovulation is recommended as the sperm are "lined up" to go! But when you get your positive opk ovulation won't happen for another 12-36 hours or so so if you dtd that day then it's likely you did it before ovulation anyway Grin this month we dtd 3 days before, 1 day before and day of ovulation (according to my apps at least!).

KimRobs87 · 17/05/2018 22:11

Hi @Cloud9889. Agree with the others, you're defo still in the game but I do think it's preferable to get bding before ovulation too. Xx

Hi all. I'm 1dpo (I think), TTC #1, cycle #1. Wanted to keep the first few months relaxed so haven't used opks, but AF quite regular, apart from last month when I got a random long cycle of 34 days...

When are you supposed to test? I have a test ready to go Blush just a cheapy from co-op! I have a work do on 25th but don't know if a BFN on that day is definitely a BFN IYSWIM. If I don't drink at that there will be highly raised eyebrows...

Report
8DaysAWeek · 17/05/2018 23:49

Hi @starsandstuff

Hmm you'd only be 9dpo on the 25th so a bfn could well be a bfp a day or two later! Perhaps if you used a very sensitive test like a FRER you'd get a more reliable answer.

Hi @8DaysAWeek thanks :) Do FRERs work at 9dpo? Will maybe get one just to have. I can sense the stockpiling starting already Grin

Report
KimRobs87 · 18/05/2018 07:03

I'm yet to get BFP on a frer as didn't find out about them until this time around. Not sure you'd get bfp at 9 days but I bet some do x

6/7dpo here - not really sure as didn't temp or use OPKs. My breasts are in agony, which isn't usual at this point in my cycle since I had DS. I have of course convinced myself I'm pregnant Grin
