I know this has been done before, and I’ve read many stories, but I need more! Please tell me your creepy stories!

Mine is

Just over 10 years ago, I got pregnant and had a missed miscarriage, and went to hospital to have the D&C to have the baby removed. Exactly a year to the day after the procedure, I woke in the middle of the night. In my half asleep state, I felt like something was watching me, right next to my head, and I moved. Then suddenly, it felt like a rush of wind went over my face and down my body to my feet. It properly woke me up and I went cold. I turned on the light to see if there was anything in my room, nothing was there. Didn’t have any drinks or anything upstairs, no idea what it could have been. But it has always been a comfort to me thinking that it was my baby saying they were ok.

I woke up in the middle of the night, saw a disc of light spinning and sparkling next to the bed. I woke XH up, he said "it's OK, it's just the spinning light disc" and went back to sleep. WTF was it?

If he hadn't said that, I would have put it down to migraine. But he did...

I was a few days away from running my 2nd marathon.
I woke up and felt something was blocking my airway a bit, I panicked and had my first panic attack on top of it- I was doubled over in pain and was taken to hospital.
At the hospital I was in a side room with one other person, the curtain between us was closed but I could see the name board opposite-The man in the other bed I, had the exact same name as my Grandfather, who had a v. unusual middle name but there it was!
My grandfather had passed away 15yrs earlier.
I felt a wave of calm and whatever was 'stuck' , dislodged.

It turned out my diaphargm had partially' lodged'. Never happened again.

I believe my Grandfather was ' watching over me' , though Im not so much a 'believer' in after life ect, but it was very odd

I went to bed one night when I was about 14 and woke up at about 2am, no specific reason and I could hear footsteps, closed my eyes just assuming it was a family member going to the loo (I'm one of 6 so there was never silence!) then all of a sudden I felt breath on my ear, then I heard "BELLA"

Nothing spooky or all for me... I used to work behind the bar in a social club and there was a particular man who liked to chat me up. He seemed harmless so I didn't mind - it helped to pass the time! Anyway, I got a Valentine's card sent to me in the post, from him. I had never told him my full name or my address (of course!) That was SERIOUSLY creepy! And I had a phone call to my landline (it was quite a few years ago) and I had certainly never given him my number. He was a postman and I think he must have found out where I lived through his work somehow. Either that or he asked his brother who worked in the same large organisation as me but I don't know how he would have found out where I lived. From then on I was scrupulously polite to him but didn't chat to him or accept any drinks - he stopped coming into the social club shortly after that thank goodness.

I used to have an orb drift across my curtain and along the wall above my head a few times a week in the middle of the night. The first few times I assumed I was still dreaming but them I made myself sit up and watch it. I haven't seen it for a while. I didn't know they were real or that they could be seen without a camera.

My dad died many years ago when I was a child. I have an old clock of his that hadn't worked for about 40 years. The day I was diagnosed with cancer was also my dad's birthday. When I got home from the hospital after getting the diagnosis, the clock started chiming.

Staying at my BIL house one Christmas when DS was a baby. He had a tummy bug and woke in the night. His travel cot was at the end of our bed with about a foot between the bed end and the cot. I was leaning over the cot comforting DS when I felt DH brush past behind me. I turned around to talk to him...and he was sound asleep in the bed. Twas not he who had brushed past me.

As a primary aged child my friends and I often stayed in tents in each others gardens through the summer. Usually it was 3 of us and we would usually stay at my house (massive garden) or Bellas house as she had a lot of fun things to do at hers. One weekend we decides to stay at Sarahs house and put up the tent at the end of the garden in front of the garden gate that led to public allotments. Sarah's dad even ran an extension cord out so we could have a TV. We had a great evening and decided to sleep around 2am. As soon as we switched off the main light and settled down something started pushing on the tent. Like a hand pushing in from the outside, it happened around the tent, on the ceiling, low, high. Really hard pushing in. We were absolutely terrified, weeping, huddled together. We didn't know what to do, make a run for the house, stay there, scream? I've honestly never felt so scared, I thought that was it for us all. We heard no footsteps or breathing or anything, just this deliberate pushing in of the tent every few minutes. There isn't a chance it would have been Sarah's parents, they were not like that and wouldn't have let us get into that state. In the end we all fell asleep in the middle of the tent in a snuggled group when it stopped around 4am. The next day we told Sarah's parents and they were shocked and worried. They did tell us that the lovely next door neighbour who was a grandparent to our school friend had passed away in the night....we were freaked out and never stayed at hers again! Never have figured out what it could have been.

As a teenager messing around with an old ouija board in the cellar of my parents house. We weren’t taking it seriously at all, all thought it was a load of rubbish and asking the “ghost” questions like “how big is your willy?” and other similarly stupid things. Obviously it’s not moving at all. Then before we put it away we did one more “is anybody there?” and there was an enormous crash upstairs. We all giggled and screamed ourselves silly, realising it was a coincidence and still not thinking much more about it.

We went upstairs as I’d assumed it was next doers cat that had got in again and knocked something over. Instead the sitting room is absolute chaos. Three paintings had fallen off the wall and smashed, the coffee table had somehow just collapsed as if someone had jumped on it with all four legs buckled and a plant pot had seemingly exploded.

It was absolutely bizarre. I know it wasn’t a ghost or whatever but I simply can’t explain it even 20 years later. And I got grounded for a week for trashing the house as my mum didn’t believe my story.

I have 2 creepy stories....

(Trigger warning - miscarriage mentioned) 7 years ago I had a missed miscarriage and the scan which told me the baby had passed happened after I had started bleeding and had travelled by ambulance home from staying with my mother-in-law 100 miles away. My husband and son stayed behind so my parents picked me up from the hospital afterwards and drove me back to my flat. When I walked into the flat I went into my bedroom to put my bags down and my parents went into the living room (hallway is long bedrooms at one end and living room at other). I walked into the bedroom and it smelled normal but suddenly an overwhelming smell of an older lady's perfume filled the room. I hadn't sprayed anything and neither had my parents and the window was shut. It disappeared as quickly as it came. I have no idea who it could have been as I never had a grandmother in life when I was here, but I did know an elderly aunt of my mum's so I often wonder if that might have been her offering comfort...

The morning my uncle died I woke suddenly at 2am for no reason. It turned out he died at 2am. A year later my other uncle died and on the night he died , at the exact time he died (9pm) I felt a cold shiver. He was ill in hospital when he died and we knew death was imminent, I even wondered at the time it happened if it was my uncle's passing. Then a few weeks later, DH's uncle was very ill and I was on my way home from my uncle's funeral. I text DH asking how his uncle was. Half a hour later, he phoned to say his uncle had passed and the time of death was the EXACT time I text him asking how he was Confused

My dad died in 2015, my grandad was on his deathbed in July 2017, the day before he passed he kept reaching his arm up as though there was someone there. He's not spoken in days, no food no drink, out of the blue at 10pm that night he said out loud "I'll be ready in a minute, Paul" that was my dads name. He died at 6am the following morning.

I was in hospital (same hospital I was employed as an RN) for a nasty kidney infection and was at end of the hallway in the ward-in walked a young "doctor" very tall, rugby player build and wearing a white coat-he apologized said he was "Sorry I was expecting a 70 year old female patient" we both laugh he leaves. The next night he stops by and says "Hi" and I get a different vibe that gave me a chill but told myself I was just being paranoid, must be the painkiller. Third time the next night he comes in and his face sent me hysterical from fear and I scream bloody murder "Get out of here we both know you aren't here looking for another patient" and he runs out towards the stairwell and I unplug my IV pump and continue screaming for help, run out of my room and make a run for the nurse's station-literally met about six feet out of my room by a nurse and two other employees-I quickly tell them what happened and one ran down the stairwell and the other called security and I go sit in the station refused to return to room for a few hours. They searched high and low but couldn't locate him (numerous elevators and stairs he could access) but there was no intern or resident supposed to be there at that time coming to see anyone on my unit. Scared the hell out of me but the nurses were amazing. Was very hard to sleep that night and got discharged a day later thank hod.

Im going back about 18 months
I was stood looking out of my kitchen window, just daydreaming when I saw a white staffie with brown/brindle markings run out of the hedge at one side-across my garden and seemed to run through the fence at the other
I ran outside-no sign of it so I put it down to being tired/eyes playing tricks on me
Anyway,I’d forgotten all about it when my son rang to tell me he’d always wanted a dog and had seen one from a rescue centre and was on his way to go get it
Again I didn’t think much to it until I met the dog a few weeks later
It was the same dog, same markings, same everything that had ran across my garden
He had been at the rescue for about 4 months so he physically couldn’t have done it but it freaked me out

I was pregnant with my son but lost his twin at ten weeks, leaving me with a very high risk pregnancy
I finally gave birth to a fine healthy boy,but for weeks we’d hear a baby crying upstairs if we where downstairs and downstairs if we where upstairs
Clear as day-we all heard it-and often my son would be either in my arms or asleep in his bouncer
No other babies in the street and it could go on for ten minutes or more,5/6 times a day so it wasn’t a mum walking past with her baby-we heard it in the house
It stopped when he was about 6 months old
He was about 4/5 when he told me ‘my twin went to go live with your grandparents-hes happy now’
We hadn’t told him at that point he was a twin

Oh no 100% real I have a good description of him to security as well he just knew how to escape quickly. Pretty sure he was planning to assault me but thank goodness I have a big mouth and knew as an RN something definitely was wrong

Levitating, as a child of around 10. It used to happen as soon as I got into bed so I became afraid to get into bed because I knew as soon as I lay down that I would start lifting off the bed, feet and legs first. Sometimes going quite high above the bed. Very weird and destabilising. I'd immediately grip the side of the bed to get out and once I was standing upright I was fine, and then I'd steel myself and try again. Sometimes it would take a few goes before I could just lie down and turn on my side before it happened! Not sure how long this went on, weeks or months.

I guess there's some psychological explanation possibly, but still don't have a clue why it happened. I didn't tell anyone at the time. Even now, I would love to know if anyone has an explanation for this.

When I was a teenager we went abroad for the first time. We kept on seeing people who looked exactly like from grandmother. When we arrived home, my aunt was at the airport to tell us my grandmother had passed away. They didn't want to ruin our holiday. My mum was obviously devastated but remembers the holiday as one where grandmother came too

I was doing a summer nanny job for a family, a single dad with 4 children. Two teenagers (one was called Rose and she'd be about 34 now) plus two younger children. We were in Cornwall on holiday in a lovely house in the middle of nowhere. One night I was looking after the little ones when the dad and teenagers went out with another family who had arrived that day, plus a teenage girl (friend of Rose) who had arrived straight from an overnight flight.

I didn't like the fact there was only one key so the door was left unlocked and went to bed early but read my book until they came home. Around 10ish I heard the front door go and heard someone come upstairs. I want scared and thought it must be Angelica (overnight flight girl) tired and come back alone. Then i thought it would be a bit weird to send a 15 year old home alone and I'd heard no taxi. Got scared then and, as I was responsible for 2 children, had to go and make sure they were ok. They were fine and I searched every room (6 bed house). Sat in my room, heart pounding, until they all came home (with Angelica!) an hour later. No idea what it was I heard but it totally sounded like door opening, closing and someone coming upstairs.

Rest of the summer was great! Lovely family, but this has stuck with me.
