So I was just watching tik tok and saw a video entitled "frank Bruno is a legend!" Watched the video and frank is for some reason talking to a woman about her traumatic birth Injuries and he's LAUGHING away?! Wtaf?

I searched and found a YouTube clip and it looks to be a pilot episode whereby celebs gave medical advice!!!

m.youtube.com/watch?v=g4y66d8EDvU

I'm appalled and horrified and this would not happen to a man!!!

Even if it turns out to be fake it is not a laughing matter and I am sick and tired of so much misogyny!!!

Celebrity Advice Bureau was a comedy show. Sharon Horgan is a comedian. It’s scripted and acted. I would presume the humour here is meant to be that Frank Bruno made a career out of having his head punched and yet is terribly squeamish hearing about gynaecological issues.

Im not sure if its entirely scripted but either way he looks deeply uncomfortable. I didn't take the laughing the same way as you did. I however laughed when she referred to her flaps falling.

Well I just don't think it's funny, and the clip I saw just seems to be taking the piss out of women's issues.

Any attempt to find humour in difficulties Frank Bruno has faced either is not funny at all. It is also no excuse.

It's just a joke. I think it's so sad we can't laugh at anything anymore without it being considered offensive or looking to be offended.

Ah I didn't recognise her..however it's not something that stands the test of time well and shouldn't be a laughing matter??

When women in this country get NO support after childbirth compared to other European countries??

I agree he just seems uncomfortable but it's not aged well.

Just a joke?

It's misogyny at its finest!! And it is not funny at all!

Birth injuries are traumatic and devastating and shit like this feeds into the shite woman have faced for years, describing post childbirth vaginas as "wizards sleeves" or "watching your wife give birth is like watching your favourite burn down".., absolutely no need for such shit.

I've had birth injuries from traumatic births and also scarring etc.
I can take a joke though. I don't take everything personally. I know humour is not meant to hurt intentionally. We are nothing if we can't have a giggle at ourselves.
I'm so fed up of censorship.

OP, do you understand that some women are allowed to find things funny that you don't?

It's a bit silly to state "And it is not funny at all!" as though you've been voted to speak for all women.

It’s not particularly funny, no. I don’t find jokes about baggy vaginas any funnier than jokes about small penises or impotence, which also seem to remain fair game for humour. Just crass and unfunny regardless of sex.

Having just read the context, it seems that Frank was probably told he’d be asked about something he knew something about and then ends up with some woman telling him about her “flaps”, so it’s probably embarrassed and awkward laughter rather than “ha ha, birth injuries are hilarious.”

Yes, that seemed pretty clear when he said he thought it was going to be about sport.

He was probably told it'd be about sporting injuries.

If you don't find it funny then don't watch it again and move on.
Some of us can joke about our birth injuries, I certainly can. I deal with things with humour, always have.
Different people think differently.

Well it seems I am unreasonable for finding this uncomfortable and not funny at all... which I find a shame but Never mind!

Thank you everyone for commenting I will re-read in the morning when I've slept and hopefully won't be such a grumpy bum!

Good God, barely a day goes by without me making a joke about my knackered pelvic floor. You're being ridiculous.

I thought it was funny, you should lighten up, just because your offended does not mean it is offensive

Iv had a very bad birth injury and a traumatic birth but I still find 'watching my favourite pub burn down' absolutely hilarious 😂
This doesn't bother me at all, it's just humour. If it bothers you don't watch it, I too think it's a shame we can't have a joke about anything anymore.
You have a right to be offended but you don't have a right to speak for all women.

Probably best you never watch a comedienne its shocking how much of their acts are taking the piss of womens issues.

Some nonsense about their audience wanting relevance in their material I bet

Omg why watch and get so upset over brain dead shit in the first place?
Instead be more selective of what you spend you time viewing.
